Unfortunately I noticed a small chip on the corner of my Whitestone Dome on Friday. It was pretty rough, very small though, but it was going to shatter eventually so I removed it. Bummer, but I guess since I don't know how it happened, there's every chance it did it's job and protected the actual display.

Don't think I'll be spending another $100 on a replacement. Other options seem limited on PB's website though.

That's no good, lucky no broken screen ,is there no warranty free replacement with whitestone dome.I'm still undecided to try this even though last weekend 20% off let pass as still ok with preinstalled protector at the moment and will wait and see what happens regards other brands perhaps still developing products, maybe get something when black Friday sales on, don't know about whitestone but bodyguardz usually about 50% off then.

I'm fairly sure that they are typically more than enough, like 5A (12V x 5A = 60W) or more (10A is probably the most common fuse for the accessory socket), which is way more than you would expect from a phone charger.

I'm not sure about a wireless one though.. all the ones I've seen are 10W, nothing faster

The reviews of the whitestone said that they were quite fragile so I am not totally surprised. An alternative is to buy the cheaper rip off full glass screen protectors off ali express so you are not as dissapointed when they break. I have brought some but haven't worked up the courage to fit them yet.

I see 2degrees is now offering trade-ins for the Note 10 as well.

They are offering a $300 boost, so my Note 9 is now $652 vs $500 through Samsung NZ. Still could probably get more selling it myself, but if you can't be bothered/other phones might be worth it.

My Momax wireless powerbank arrived today. I kinda think that it would be generally worth plugging in to get 18W, rather than sitting the phone on top for 10W wireless - but if you misplaced the cable . . .

It is pretty nice to have a new powerbank that supports USB-C PD charging as well as QC3 fast charging, it can fast charge just about any device that can be fast charged. It can also charge standard USB stuff like my headphones, camera, action cam, bluetooth helmet comms, etc. My tablet supports QC, so it would be handy for that.

2 weeks on, really like the phone but it's buggy as hell.

I've come from Note 4 to this which is a jump but I've found that the phones are similar and despite the bells and whistles, they're not that much different.
I'm annoyed I'm finding bugs at the moment. The automatic screen off is stay on.
The automatic restart, which I have set at 3am is now affecting the alarm ring tone which is now defaulting to the ringtone alarm when it didn't use to.
Pretty annoying.
Wondering what else might play up this week!

Apparently its always good to restart your phone everyday.
Other issue I have is the low sound volume of calls and music through 3.5mm to USB C adapter in the car. So frustrating having to turn the overall car volume really high.

Out of idle curiosity I was looking at the details for the new Apple phone. Compared to my 512GB RAM, 6.8" screen, 3 cameras and so forth that I paid $1899 for (with some bonus items) - the biggest iPhone only has a 6.5" screen and for the 512GB model it costs NZ$2849, wow! I'm so glad I'm not an Apple fanboi, 'cause that is just crazy expensive. The Apple doesn't get expandable storage either, so the base 64GB model is pretty limited.

I'm off on the bike again next weekend, the phone will be handling navigation again and will most likely take some photos & videos. I'm finding the battery life good and with the wireless powerbank that I got bundled in with the phone, there is no issue getting through a weekend without needing to find a power socket I can use.

I would avoid it everyday; Android will perform better with apps being loaded into memory and switched between foreground and background with use. With the RAM being flushed everyday, you lose all of that. Especially in a high performance device like the Note 10 that is specced above what most people will actually use day-to-day. Android is designed to be used as an always on device.

I schedule mine for once a week, but honestly a lot of people would never switch their phone off unless it runs out of battery or needs a hard restart so even that is purely precautionary.

I used to reboot daily on my OnePlus 6, as that cured it of all manner of ills that would creep in over the day, but have moved to the once a week on my current Samsung.

But the problem is that a reboot also resets the volume disabling/warning feature meaning it needs to be over-ridden (a hassle say when exercising or in the car).

Does any Samsung phone owner know how to switch this off permanently? It seems some o/s models include a hamburger menu in the volume settings menu, but this isn't present in my NZ-model phone.

Iv'e got auto restart set for once a week for which is what samsung recommends and never any problems but this morning after auto restart my alarm tone defaulted to my ringtone plus very loud so must be bug somewhere because using alarm since note 2, 5 8 and 10 never had this problem & checked alarm settings and still same tone and time set.
