nakedmolerat: I see on Telecom website that it has changed from 'Coming Soon' to Stock available!

Have you bought one yet?

Yes, pre-ordered mine 2nd of march. Telecom took my money straightaway since I got a phone call from my bank confirming the transaction within 10 minutes. It states that delivery will be from 14/March.

I will update the thread once I got it. I suspect it is likely to be tomorrow, Saturday or next Monday! If the phone is as awesome as it is in the commercial, I will be extremely happy!

I ended up buying the xperia z from telecom yesterday. Unfortunately the screen is as terrible as the reviews have mentioned. I thought I didn't really care about viewing angles etc, but yeah the screen is just so bad. Not only does it look incredibly washed out with just a tilt either direction, it looks bad front on as well. Comparing this screen to my nexus 4, there is just no competition, the nexus 4 wins by a mile

Lol the phone looks and feels good... Haha.

Does this phone only come with a 1 year warranty? Thought it was two years, until I asked the Sony guy in Newmarket.

Does it matter since we have CGA in NZ?

Sony Stores seem to be price matching other outlets for outright purchases.
Im in two minds if I want to upgrade my almost 1 year old Xperia S to the new Z... might just wait another year!

Only benefit I can see is a better res screen at this stage and better battery !

I also had case-mate (blue) color bought from Amazon.

This phone completes me!

Tough phone, waterproof, superfast = superb gorgeous phone. Thank you Sony!

I'm liking this phone more and more. Just wish the screen was a little bit better.

Also waiting for Sony new Zealand to make available the charging dock
