I just phoned Telecom to change to one of the new Ultra open plans. Was asked if I wanted to go on a 24 month term and get myself a new phone while I'm at it.

Me: "I'm waiting for the Galaxy Note 3, so not at this time thanks"

Telecom CSR: "We have those in stock now in Black or White, which would you prefer?"

!

That's what she said. I questioned it and she went away to check and confirmed that yes, they definitely have stock of black and white Galaxy Note 3 at $1199 or $199 on a 24 month Ultra $139 plan.

All things considered, I'd be surprised if they actually shipped it. Would fully expect to get a phone call or email later apologising that they'd made an error. It wasn't even on the website when I looked earlier.

So if they have them in stock why do they have to wait til Oct 3 instead of Sept 25? ... Supposing they actually have them yet

Just received:

Unfortunately, we’re experiencing delays on the Samsung GALAXY Gear and Note 3. We are now looking to launch both devices on the Telecom Smartphone Network in mid-October but we will keep you updated with more information as soon as it is available to us.

The GALAXY Gear will still be available exclusively to Telecom customers 30-days from the launch date.
