puggy: And the wait continues, PI's order fell through. They said they ordered but supplier has not been able to source any, hoping for some next week.

Wonder if same goes for the like of HN and NL.

I am pretty adamant that the source of PI and other retailers differ (especially HN and JB)...

HN and JB in this particular case, looks to be sourcing the phones from their Australian branch stock (in small numbers for the 32GB pre-orders only), this will mean that the phone will be most likely to be Australian firmware/ROM but the phone is still sourced through legit distributor or Samsung/BrightPoint equivalent that is based in Australia...

HN Australia are optus phones.. i seriously doubt they are sending them to nz.

Just rung BrightPoint and NL again and they said there will be stock arriving on the 20th-25th for the older orders.
Not sure if it is the 32GB model. But if there are 32GB stocks are coming on 20th then some could be allocated to NL Hamilton

My excitement for this phone has hit me fresh!

WOO IT'S COMING IN UNDER A WEEK!!!*

I ordered a SIM cutter from China about 3 weeks ago, which still hasn't turned up unfortunately. If the phone arrives first, I might have to just whip out my trusty knife and do it the old fashioned way.

*maybe

Don't get over excited just yet. There is no real ETA or confirmation on both end. BrightPoint got told by Vodafone about the ETA but they do not know anything about the shipment status and quantity.

So don't over hyped up your excitement because the higher you get is the worst when you fall. And if it does get here by 20th then don't have too much hope of getting one. Vodafone would probably keeping the stock to themselves for an online store.

When did you pre-ordered yours? I've heard that if the stock is coming and if it has been allocated then it will only firfilling the old orders in May and early June. It is not a big stock. Just a small one from Vodafone.

You have better luck hoping for your sim cutter arrival than the S3. I've been there and done that. :(

A friend got a 32GB Pebble Blue from Mobicity so they must actually have stock. With paying GST to NZ Customs, worked out at $1079

Damn. None in Hamilton branch. Also I would be keen if it is a Pebble blue :(

Hey now, a SIM cutter is pretty darn exciting as well! I can cut ALL the SIMs!

Any ideas how it worked out at that price?
Their site lists the 32GB model as $939, so with 15% GST that's $1079, but then there's a $38.07 customs fee on top of that - did customs not charge your friend that fee?

Pity about the PB blue stock - it's a pretty good price!
