How do you know which F/W is on a given phone? I know few others mentioned that if a phone is from Aus market then it would have a diff f/w? I am just wondering how to check mine and see, even thought I bought mine from NL.

You have better luck hoping for your sim cutter arrival than the S3. I've been there and done that. :(

Hey now, a SIM cutter is pretty darn exciting as well! I can cut ALL the SIMs!

DoggNZ: A friend got a 32GB Pebble Blue from Mobicity so they must actually have stock. With paying GST to NZ Customs, worked out at $1079

Any ideas how it worked out at that price?
Their site lists the 32GB model as $939, so with 15% GST that's $1079, but then there's a $38.07 customs fee on top of that - did customs not charge your friend that fee?

That's the price he mentioned but I'm guessing he forgot about that fee when he was lording it over everyone here with S2's and iPhones Wink

Yep, that's a good deal. I think I paid NL 919 for the 32GB with their 20% off?? But that's long gone ha ha. Well see how this rolls..

I was so tempted with the 32GB deal from PBTech as well but they didn't have the Pebble Blue.

Still sticking to my guns with the wait for the 20th (or so).

Got a friend who got a flawless 16GB Pebble Blue the other day, saw it and played with it. Such a great phone. But I still had the thought in my head of - meh~ 16GB. hahaha

I found a mobile phone store that's located inside the Event Cinemas building (in Auckland - forgot store name), they have the Pebble Blue 32GB in stock - when I was there they had 6 in stock for $996 incl. GST - which is great. Gives me a better plan B 'cos Parallel Import still cannot source the Blue 32GB officially.

Let's stay strong guys!!

Thanks for stopping by Jeff. :)
I hope you are correct.
The reports are just rumours and until proven by official, otherwise it still rumours.

no problems, have to say this thread must be one of the longest of its type so well done all. At least you have stuck to your guns so I'm sure it will turn out fine.

Be interested in whether you use custom rom integer and if so which one.

I'm going to try build my own ROM. First thing I would do is to root it and then hack touchwiz nature UX and rebuild it to make it support 6dock icons and 6 columns x 6 rows app drawer. May be get some other functions enable.

Combine voodoo sound and DSP and the quick shortcuts.
Porting a few apps from gingerbread and S2.

sounds good keep us informed I'm keen to try it.

Bit off topic but liking foxhound and battery is amazing going on my normal use its nearly double over S2 and about 25% more than on stock but that can just be placebo effect I suppose. Bought a second battery and charger but have as yet to need it.

Have you tried syrah kernel? It is great. Giving my S2 20% more juice from the same usage.
I'm going to test for best kernel once I get my S3. Hope to fine the best that would boost battery efficiency than stock kernel.
