Have Vodafone received the update yet? Or are Samsung ensuring I don't buy another product in the future?

I have the SM-N910U model and according to Sammobile, none of them are on Android 5 yet. Check here: http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/database/SM-N910U/ or check here for your specific model http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/. It won't tell you if Vodafone has recieved, or approved the update and when it will hit Samsung servers, but at least you can decide how jealous/annoyed you can be if other territories have it and you don't. I'm pretty sure above someone said Voda hasn't even recieved the Note 4 Android 5 firmware for testing yet... but a post to their Community page might get a fresh answer on that.

Not yet. I understand we are expecting to receive a software build for testing in the next two weeks.

Boy they're getting rubbish aren't they.

How long after you receive does it generally take for a release?

I'd rather a stable release than a rushed one - while you and I would rather get our hands on it absolutely ASAP, I've seen a number of complaints from people on Nexus devices, Moto devices, the LG G3, and others who were updated early. Lollipop was pretty beta well after release, and for Google experience phones it looks like it'll take until 5.1 to address a number of complaints (OEMs like HTC and Samsung have fixed most of them with their own implementations, e.g. speed optimisations & silent mode). The vast majority of users either don't care about updates or care more about stability than new features.
That said, it is interesting that a number of Note 4 variants have had 5.0.x builds leak and the N910U is not among them.

As for releases, that's up to Samsung. We generally take no longer than a week to test software updates, then it goes back to the vendor to push it live depending on their global update schedules/server capacity/whether it's staggered/et cetera. The Note 4 is getting the first Lollipop build for Samsung devices locally as far as I am aware at the present time.

Is anyone else noticing speakerphone on Note 4 for his crap quality. Whenever I talk to people on speakerphone they always comment on how bad it sounds and they can hardly hear me.
Is this a fault with my phone. Do I need to send back under warranty?

I've used speaker phone with a number of people and no one has complained of poor quality. Was talking to someone for 20 minutes last night with no problems.

Going to be honest, this wait is getting stupid. If Samsung haven't put anything through to VF soon, I am probably going to sell and look at the Z4 or LG G4

I have got a few cases that I am selling if anyone is interested in getting a case for their note 4's. They are all a couple of months old but only used for 2-4 days each.

A guy on XDA posted this

It's an email from Samsung

"Good Morning Nic,

Thank you for your recent contact with Samsung New Zealand on the 21st of March 2015.

We have confirmed the Lollipop update for the N910U will be available end of March – early April.

Kind regards,"
