I am happy with mine except for the notifications part. I only see SMS notifications on a locked screen display and nothing else.

Check the apps setting for notification on the sms app you are using, there are options on where it displays

SMS notifications are fine. They display on my locked screen with numbers. Any other app like Whatsapp, Email, TM, Insta etc.. don't popup on always on display screen as unread.

They make a sound and you need to unlock to view them.

Yeah unsure about changing the setting for face recognition - suggest finding someone that looks similar to you and having a play, not all that secure.

I’m sure it’s a great phone for people that love having to endlessly configure things to make it work, I don’t have the time or patience to do so. Having used an XS for a couple of months I guess I’m used to a better experience.

Also forgot to add that it kept crashing my car stereo when connected via USB, and would sporadically disconnect from it when connected via Bluetooth. Other Android phones work fine, as has every iPhone over the past 5 years.

Data point: My P20 Pro works flawlessly with the Bose sound system in my 2016 Nissan LEAF via Bluetooth connection.

For people that got the wireless charger bundled in with the phone. Did it come with Power Adaptor?

No, wish it did.

Coincidentally I tested a P20 Pro, works fine. Just this phone that doesn't.

I understand your frustrations, but I'd be surprised if they will be sufficient to warrant a CGA claim - I will be interested to find out how you get on.

My position will be that it has features that don't work as advertised (unclock etc). Worst case scenario it goes on Trademe for $1, has been used for 4 days, will let people know here if I do just in case they want to buy this spectacular phone...

Face unlock works flawlessly for me. Works too good to be honest as I sometimes touch the power button by mistake and it immediately unlock the phone for me

In which case there is an option to unlock but wait to a slide up gesture to dismiss the lock screen (and a suboption to show notifications on unlock screen if unlocked).

PB refunded almost without question. Phone sucked (for me), PB’s service was excellent.

99% percent of people don't look like you, so it's no a real security concern. And even if you are worried, you have the option to not use face unlock and revert to tradition PIN or pattern options.

I get that you are not happy with the phone, but your issues are more buyer remorse, not CGA.

Definitely felt buyers remorse, because I didn’t trust my gut and tried it anyway, and ended up with a B grade product from my point of view (I recognise there are tons of people that will love this phone and I’m happy for them, I’m just not one of them).

But yeah CGA applies IMO. Like selling a door lock that some of your mates keys might also open. Lame.
