You'll need to complete at least 80% of the Dropbox requirements.

Sorry if this has been asked a million times, but looks like my S3 has sds, won't start, tried flashing with odin, came up fail no pit partition and is  stuck on either samsung screen or empty battery screen. Its been getting slower over the last few day, freezing up and today rebooted its self twice, second time failed to come back and is now in its currant state.

Now it is rooted but running stock telecom 4.1 JB does this void my warranty to get it fixed, if so whats the cost to get it fixed or shall I just "loose it" and claim it under my phone insurance?

Or is there a way to fix the no pit partition and run triangle away?

thanks

sounds very much like SDS and if it is then it is unlikely they can tell its been rooted. I would say tack it back and expect a warranty replacement but just check the moisture indicator under the battery to make sure it hasn't changed colour.

I was interested in the water indicator stickers in the S3 but wasn't sure where they were. I Googled it and found that different people were saying different things about where they were.

Some said to open the back and look to the left of the battery to find a small screw and then look half an inch above the screw for the indicator. My S3 doesn't have anything in this location.

Others said to look just above where the battery contacts are on the phone. My S3 does have a white sticker with little crosses on it here.

And yet others said that the battery itself has a sticker on the same edge as the connectors. My S3 has nothing here except a small indent where I guess a sticker could be placed. Yes, this is the original battery that came with the phone.

I was wondering if my phone is like everyone else's or if it's missing some stickers. I'd hate to return it and be accused of removing the stickers.

I also found people selling replacement stickers on eBay! Not sure how well they work.

My phone is slow as a wet week, and I also got a notification that I was low on memory on my internal memory so I moved some music to the ext sd. The problem is the file manager didn't really do a great job (astro) and skipped all copies, but didn't confirm it was completed so I am now uncertain about where which music files are.

Is there a decent file manager that will show storage usage and perhaps something like Kies web based that will allow me to do decent file management?

Also what are you guys currently using to take backups, I want to backup call logs and app data like my games progress etc. Titanium I own but I hate the interface and find it confusing, the CMW backup is what I have been using but it's granular restore isn't intuitive.

All SDS phones show 'Modified' because the phone can't read the partition to tell it's not. My 100% stock phone showed modified in download mode when it got SDS. They replaced the motherboard without issue.

Haha. That's cool. I was thinking that if it ever shows signs of SDS I would have to modify it back before it got too bad.

Update on my cracked phone screen.

I got my glass from etradesuppy for $60 including shipping, arrived just 3 days later. To use this, i had to remove my current glass which proved to be a problem, as it was very badly cracked at the top. Although i tried to take it off, it was coming out in super small pieces, and not properly either, so i gave up and got the whole digizter from a seller on TM for $295 (including free install as i was short on time). Works like a charm now, just unfortunate that i wasn't able to do the $60 fix and had to pay out $300 instead.

Side note, I've got a WHITE glass for sale now. Untouched still in packaging.
