ronw: So much for Nov 15 launch. Rang around this morning and no one has them. 2Degrees say possibly next Friday?

BigMal: Got mine this morning. Really nice phone, thoroughly enjoying it.

The screen is really nice and from the sample shots I've taken the camera is great. Coming from a Nexus 4 the 5 is better in every department.

I have a 16gb Black on pre-order at WHS Downtown Auckland. They were kinda confident they would get them in today but I got nervous about missing out so grabbed an 821 off trademe last night instead. If they contact me today I'm happy to post up and someone can head down and pick it up if they want.
Amazing phone BTW, I can't put mine down.

I've moved over from iPhone so I'm getting used to Android. Anyone know why I wouldn't get LTE out of the box? Do I have to speak with Vodafone to activate this? I'm on a business plan.

well i am hoping that WHS ring me soon saying they have mine ready for me, however wont be able to pick it up till 3pm when i finish work

We're proud to be launching the Nexus 5 today. It's available now on our website - 2degrees Nexus 5 and in 2degrees stores. Christchurch stores will not have delivery until tomorrow due to today's Christchurch Anniversary.

But when will they be in stores just rang two of your stores (Queen St and Albany) and they have no idea when getting them

Warehouse Stationery Downtown have received their Nexus 5 black this morning. The rest of Auckland should received them this afternoon, couriers dropping them off to stores this morning.

Call them !! and share the good news :)

Bit disappointed. Just went to 2degrees Newmarket where they would not sell me the phone unless I signed a 24 month contract. Manager said its company policy since there's limited stock.. Not as advertised..

Sounds like someone is trying to get a sale/contract.
I would go back and tell them to look up on their site as they can sell it outright.

Sorry, but they're wrong and have been advised. You can buy it outright. Please PM me your name and number and we can keep one aside for you at the Newmarket store.

I am sure WHS is only if the price is better than other retailers.
As they are both 699 then WHS won't do the 5%
