as i mentioned it will be like another 2 months b4 it gets released by samsung for VF network

Last night I gave up and installed a 4.4.2 version and now happy as Larry.

i even rooted mine.. fark samsung.. now all the freedom to mod and enjoy ..better battery life after root.. i get more then 5 hours display 2 days usage

did you bother avoiding tripping Knox ot 0x1 when you rooted, or did you not care about that?

dont care .. its tripped...

exonys version can be restored to 0x0 but snapdragon one at the moment cant..

there is a grey line between knox warranty and repair..some countries/service centers repair them without fuss..

this will be my last samsung device...

youre a smart and brave man. i am too scared to root. which is ridiculous - this is the longest time ive ever spent crippled with a stock unrooted device. which i guess actually says good things about how well the handset can perform, unmodified.

but im pretty sure im missing out on a ton of performance gains from a proper root, clean out and optimisation!! haha

what has been a negative about this handset for you, making it your last? what would you prefer to move to? genuinely interested :)

big time samsung fan...all my smart phones has been samsung so far..

one thing i hate now is the knox crap..
plus they make too many versions of the phone.. like for S5.. another version (premium) may be coming out.. so at times u feel cheated that u did not get that one

next phone my be LG .. oneplus .. Oppo..HTC ..sony.. Nexus .. (one of those.. have to see which one is better at the time of buying, with less problem of rooting and more developer support.. )..at the moment oneplus rocks.. supports full customization and is freaking cheap

about time to venture in new direction.. may still stick to samsung depending on third party support

you know what i completely agree with you. also a very pleased samsung user since the original Galaxy S, upgraded from the Nokia E-series businessphone era. the thing that is somewhat good with samsungs is the integration with other devices. for example, allshare media sharing between phones, tablets and the TV (our household is now all Samsung to keep the integration working). sending media to TV etc. and the all-in-one-place "find my phone" thing. and the main thing was the huge aftermarket custom support. which is now a bit 'ruined' with Knox.

however, i agree, the bloat and crippling is getting a bit much, and there havent really been any revolutionary moves since the S3 (which was a good phone, it just looked dumb) - i love the capability of the Note3 but it feels like it could be so much more.

i dont think i would jump personally to Sony or HTC, i think that would be a sideways move. however OnePlus or Oppo, seem like they have caught up and then surpassed the regular giants. Oneplus in particular as you mention.

perhaps there will be a Oneplus Two ;) which might break me free from this samsung family! heh
