DANOFDANGER: Received my whitestone dome protector from mobile fun today and installed it. One thing i have to say is that if you bought this like me to intend on keeping it for a long time, this is definitely worth it. The installation is fairly easy, especially with the alignment tool. Just a heads up however, i would not rush this, would carefully read the instructions and also watch a few videos. Not something you want to make a mistake with. A couple of points i would focus on would be to make sure you do it on a flat and clean surface, making sure there is absolutely no dust prior to placement of the protector. Also when you go to place the protector on the placement tab, make sure its flush at the bottom to make sure the install is even.
Lastly the glue can seep into places, so do make sure you center the glue before you drop the glass otherwise you could get too much overflow and get gunk in your buttons or earpiece. I did mine perfectly and it still managed to work its way around to the back of the phone. Luckily it missed my buttons.
I like the idea of this protector, but your warnings and the possibility of it ending up in the buttons, even if that risk is very low, means I'd probably pay someone else to install it, so it's their liability, or not do it at all, as to me the risks are too high
I fitted it and, as I posted elsewhere, the level surface is CRITICAL.
I checked the surface with a bubble level app and a real one and it seemed fine. The glue runs like water, not like a thick adhesive, so any slight tilt will cause it to head off in one direction!
It's a very good screen protector though.

Also fitted my Whitestone Dome protector last night. Re-watched the installation video from Mobile Fun just to remind myself of the key steps, but it was actually very straightforward. While the provided paraphernalia made it look intimidating, I actually found it easier to install than many other "traditional" screen protectors. For the first time ever there is not one speck of dust under the protector to bug me for the next few years, and it has also lined up perfectly on the screen. There was very little ooze from the adhesive, and what there was cleaned off very easily using one of the supplied microfibre cloths. I'm also impressed how the edge of the screen isn't affected by the ~1-2mm height of the protector. I worried that I would graze my thumb every time I swiped from the edge of the screen, but it's very well placed to not ever be an issue. It's a flawless finish, and doesn't affect the touch sensitivity or viewability in any way. By far an away the best screen protector I've ever used, and well worth the money.
For those who have purchased the Whitestone Dome protector, where are you buying them from? Mobilefun seem to be out of stock. Is there anyone else in NZ selling them? Thanks
