It's cheaper when added to your cart. They have a price guarantee of some kind.

I have one coming from Clove at the moment, was about NZD$318 including DHL delivery, hoping to maybe see it Friday or Monday. Ordered on Monday this week, shipped right away.

Was a fairly painless ordering process!

Edit: 8GB, that is!

Youshop UK doesn't ship items with lithium batteries (unlike youshop us), so might be best to stick with Amazon.

I'm holding out for the 16GB, you can fit a lot more music and such on it. Shame there's no SD card, but at that price you can't complain really.

You need a USA credit card billing address to order from Motorola. So far everyone who's tried has had the order cancelled... mine was accepted online then cancelled automatically 5 seconds later.

Yeah mine was cancelled shortly after.

Sucks but not uncommon.

Yeah man fair call.

My main point was just to outline my experience with Clove in case anyone was unsure about them. Apparently they'll have the 16GB in soon :)

On that note, looks like the phone is now in Auckland, so not far away!

I'm hoping that as a massive store Amazon gets them at the same time as all the smaller stores, and it'll arrive earlier. Though it's a gift so any time before Xmas is fine.

Hoping the same thing though no sign of it there apart from a second hand one at a rip off price..

I asked on Motorola's Facebook page about  availability for NZ and a big silence.  I see that they were quite happy to answer  about availability in Asia and India..

I was considering ordering from the US as it's available sooner there, but frequencies are a concern. On the Motorola US site the frequencies are

Global GSM Model: GSM/GPRS/EDGE (850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz)
UMTS/HSPA+ up to 21 Mbps (850, 900, 1900, 2100 MHz)

US GSM Model: GSM/GPRS/EDGE (850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz)
UMTS/HSPA+ up to 21 Mbps (850, 1700 (AWS), 1900 MHz)

From Amazon.co.uk questions/answers
UK model: 3G / UMTS bands are - Band I (2100), Band II (1900), Band V (850), Band VIII (900). Also, GSM bands are - 850, 900, 1800, 1900. Also confirmed that most UK 3G networks are around 2100MHz with this page.

On the Amazon.com page for the Moto G it says "US Compatibility: AT&T".

AT&T frequencies "AT&T’s 850/1700/1900mhz".
Telecom: 850MHz, 2100MHz.
Vodafone: 2100MHz, 2G 900MHz
2degrees: 2100MHz, 2G 900MHz

All in all it looks like the model available in the US right now may work on Telecom, but ideally waiting for the international version to be available would be a better idea. Buying from the UK seems like a safter bet.

The US would be fine as it's for the wife and will be on Telecom. Will keep watching the comments section until it's clear exactly what version it is. I'm tempted to buy one but as they don't ship until Dec 04 (Dec 05 NZT) it may not arrive before Xmas by that time it may be available here. Will look at it again when I get back to work in January.
