The Noom app was completely accurate for me (with a short five minute trial) it has a threshold where if there are not enough continuous movements it rolls back the last few counts. In theory this will discount bringing your phone out as steps. I'll leave it running and check battery stats tomorrow.

I've an invitation to give away for the 64GB Sandstone Black.  Please be aware of the following:

  • Invitation once accepted is valid for only 24 hours
  • Shipping is not available directly to NZ, Youshop or similar is required.
  • Oneplus only accept Paypal
  • A fair number of users have received phones with yellow tint - RMA process is awful. (I got lucky)
  • 64GB = 54.87GB left for the user.

If you're okay with all of the above, send me a message.

Apparently the yellow tint just means it might need a bit more curing putting it in the sun for a few hours should should be enough.

Mine was fine.

I've heard the same, but also that for some it was severe enough to require a more intense light.

Mine is fine also.

Also if you want a bloody awesome ROM for your Oneplus I'd strongly recommend Slimkat from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-one/orig-development/rom-slimkat-bacon-t2823720 coupled with the One's camera app: https://www.dropbox.com/s/fo2h26wbjjm8squ/CameraNext.apk

Insanekiwi:
Batwing:
Insanekiwi: Does it have a motion sensor built in like M8 and Nexus 5? i.e. pedometer.

I am waiting for mine to be delivered this week hopefully.
I'll test this out for you, if you tell me how.

Hmmm... for M8 there is Fitbit app - which tracks your steps. Wonder if something like that or Runtastic can record the steps?
On M8 it doesn't use up much power at all. Possibly 0.1%.

I've been running this Noom app for a while now, it appears to be constantly recording in the background at all times. With that in mind I was surprised to see it doesn't even register in my battery stats and battery life seems great, I can charge every second day which is a luxury I'm not used to.

Thanks for letting us know about that app. I will give it ago. It seems that qualcomm chipset has its own motion sensor like the m7 in a7 chips for Apple.

michaelmurfy:
Batwing: Pretty sure there won't be docks, particularly with the reversed connector these Chinese phones use. It's a shame it only charges at a reasonable rate with the supplied cable, weird pin layout I guess.

The cable I was using before charged it from 60% to 80% in about 20min so it won't be that. I'd say it is more likely the power adapter you're using.

I've stumbled across this on the Oneplus forums https://forums.oneplus.net/threads/oneplus-one-charging-cable-alternative.68517/' target='_blank'>https://forums.oneplus.net/threads/oneplus-one-charging-cable-alternative.68517/ it seems cables do make quite a bit of difference. More pronounced with this phone than any of my previous. My usual charging cables are the ones that came with my Kindle - long, flexible and easy to spot in a mess since they are white. I''ve had to resort to carrying the cable supplied with this phone with me as top up charges using the Kindle cable (or Oppo/Sony/Motorola/unknown brand) cables I have lying around seem to have little effect. The charger doesn't seem to matter quite so much as the cable with this phone - 1A does the trick just fine

That's the one that comes with Color OS? If so, how are you finding it? Color OS was one of the main reasons I wanted to get away from Oppo, I had already switched to CM but the camera drivers weren't quite there.

You're very welcome. I should have just searched their website, they do appear to be selling the international variant. I'd assumed that given the difficulty of ordering from Oneplus themselves that any parallel importers would be only getting their hands on the Chinese version. Makes the invitiation system seem a bit (more) of a joke.
