Samsung are smoking some serious pipe if they think those prices are going to sell. What a joke.

My wife was quite keen on the Note 5 until she saw the price.  Bought her a Nexus 6 today instead..

I got mine yesterday. Seems like there is a wireless charing issue with it turning off after a few minutes leaving the charger flashing blue.
My first one had a cable charging issue too, but replaced it today and 2nd one seems better on cable.
Phone is a lot better than the 4. The pen is more responsive and has better definition. The pen is the reason for getting the note, if you're not into that then the edge 6+ is the way to go.

Deal I got was $100 off RRP and picked the 2D version to avoid splash screen and yahoo bloat that comes with spark.

The S-Pen issue is really big and they must do something about it

The Spark/Yahoo isn't really bloat, It takes up practically no space, It's mostly annoying

What could they realistically do to fix the S Pen problem? Surely they'd have to redesign the chassis and pen and do a full recall and replacement.

Apparently also doable with a thin slither of plastic straw.

With all due respect, that's not a fix for the design flaw, and only going to help you to remove the S Pen if you find some fool has inserted it the wrong way for you. If the same fool has actually ripped it back out hoping you won't notice what they've done, then you're stuffed. It's going to happen to some people, because some folks just don't respect other people's property.

Best thing you could do would be to remove the S Pen and keep it in your pocket before showing off your new pride and joy to all and sundry.

I honestly struggle to see the problem with putting the pen on the wrong way round, the sort of pleb who would do this would be more of a concern if they held a drivers license in my view.

But they do exist!

Regardless, the poem issue doesn't stop me buying the Note 5. It's the pricing, coupled with non replaceable battery and lack of microSD slot that does. Perhaps if I could get 128GB internal at $1300 or less, I might consider this an option for my next phone. Should that become a reality, I'll reconsider.

The so called S Pen  problem has been blown way out of proportion on some news groups..

Just got the note 5 this afternoon. Best feeling phone and the speed at which it opens the camera is insane.
