@restecp Thanks for the reply. You know what I mean though eh? (The Spark ones also have the Spark boot logo and get android updates like a week after the 2degrees / NZC CMC ones) You fairly confident about that? Is that a Samsung or carrier end change since the S20 series?

So you reckon nothing changes when selecting Spark / 2Degrees / Vodafone from their site? You don't even reckon Spark will have their boot logo on it?

I always go for the Spark one as I believe their bootloader / firmware / CSC has ever so slightly been 'tweaked' to prioritize searching for Spark networks first etc and just more inline with their network.

Yes I know what you mean.

As stated it's now a multi CSC (NZO).
It's a Samsung change (other brands do this)

Spark could have the bootl ogo as part of their package but I don't think they do. I don't use spark so can't test this.

What you believe was right a few years ago but now not so much. When you insert the spark sim the device will prompt.yoi to reboot (part of set up) to download the correct carrier package.

After plying with the fold every other phone seems positively boring in comparison. However, the Note 20 Ultra is a beautiful piece of kit, just wish they'd gone with the flat screen. I don't there is a worse phone to have a curve on than the Note, is such a stupid design aesthetic.

This sounds like insanity but I actually like the regular Note 20.

The flat screen and cheaper pricing makes it easier to digest for me, even if the screen is 1080p 60hz that’s more than adequate for me especially if I can offload the preorder bonuses

@restecp Cheers dude.

Do you know why Samsung has the option for the three carriers then?

Regards

Because they get stock from the 3 carriers :)

Preordering via 2degrees for example you 'Save up to $200' but I must be missing something as I can't see where that $200 saving applies as adding up the monthly MRO repayments still equates to the RRP.

Is it a credit or does it come off the MRO after checking out?

Compared to Vodafone with exact same plan price and term, Vodafone seem to deduct the $201 offering at check out whereas I can't see where 2D 'save you $200'

Seems to scan for me:

$172.50 MRO x 12 + $29 down + $200 saved = $2299

You have selected the right plan and everything, yeah?

Well the blinkers are on re the 865+ version so I've gone and ordered the Ultra 12/256 in mystic bronze from PB

As of writing this a fair few of the PB pre order bundles are sold out in the Ultra version.

Still just as pumped to get my mits on this one even with its cousin around.

As mentioned above the reviews I've seen thus far look promising 🙂

Going to be holding off until Superco have the Snapdragon version in, early usage seems to indicate the Exynos is still gimped.

Hmm weird, I came back and its exactly as you've posted now.

Second question, the trade in offer through the 2degrees portal nets more then going directly through xchange mobile which is great, so I assume that $ gets added to your account as credit and not towards the handset itself. Sorry I've never done this trade in thing before.

Must have been a glitch in the matrix then.

I haven't done it either to be honest, but from the FAQ, it looks like that is the case:

When is the payment made into my 2degrees Mobile Billing account?

Your trade in payment will be made into your mobile billing account within 15 working days of receiving your Trade In value acceptance.

That is if they don't try and shake you down on the grading, but you can fight them on it if that is the case.

Wow, so Samsung are only offering $500 as a trade in on the Note 10+? That's rude.

Yep, imagine what a $2000+ Note 20 Ultra will be worth in a year, The wife’s XS Max which is a year older gets more via trade in then a Note 10+ how does that work?

I’ve preordered the Note 20 Ultra but I’ll be holding that for a while because depreciation.
