ronw: Did anyone find out how to redeem the 2degrees reward. It appears when you go to website that you have to set up an account before you can do anything. There is no mention of the reward for bying the Nexus 5

if you got 2degrees number  you can just login use number and password ~and put in redeem the code ~i got 50mb data useage for this month. not bad for free lol after you redeem the code what ever you got , just put on you 2 degrees number .

mouarg: To all those who have got their nexus5, how is the battery life? Tossing between G2 and nexus 5. G2 scores more in the battery department.

when i have my nexus 5 today i start it ~got 72% power in the  battery, after that ~i setup the phone put google account in, change ringtone set up wifi , got wallpaper and lots of things,
and i went out , came back now ~just have 65% power, i cant tell battery good or not ~but i think its way way way better than my almost 3years old  iphone4. im really happy with it.

NzBeagle: Is there a Nexus charging pad or can we use one from another manufacturer

Any QI compliant charger should work.

I just ordered 3 cheapies from e-bay, $12 each and will probably get a 'good' one later.

Search for qi wireless chargers on amazon, read the reviews, get'em from amazon or find them slightly cheaper on e-bay.

arnies: For everyone complaining about the price;
it cost NZ $670 to import a 32 GB phone. So the $699 price isn't that bad for the 16GB

good to hear this price ~~~maybe i buy Nexus 6 for 32G~lol

pc: just got this from BecexTech:

Apologize, we just got an update that this 32Gb is temporarily not available. Would you be interested with 16Gb black for $25 extra or white color for NZ$80 cheaper instead?

Was i just too slow on ordering the 32GB model or is no one getting them?

I like the "16GB for $25 extra" when i ordered a 32GB black.

I got the same exact email. I'm completely baffled as to why no retailers in NZ have any 32GB versions in stock whatsoever. Starting to think I'm going to have to live with a measly 16GB...

Pulinski:
Hit the button above the blue shutter button and it's the first option on the right.

Unfortunately no..... It's not there.

Here is a screenshot of the camera app.

HDR Option

Thanks for the screen shot.  When i got home and set it up properly over wifi the HDR function was suddenly there where it wasn't before.  YES!

Yep, same for me too. I even asked them to confirm they would have stock available before placing my order earlier in the week. $25 extra for the 16GB is crazy - not to mention the fact that they have the 16GB model listed right now on their site for about $120 less than what I paid! =/ Gah, thought I had it all sorted!

I emailed back asking for an ETA. I am only interested in a 32GB. Otherwise I'll stick with my N4 :-)

I don't think battery life is going to be a problem on the Nexus 5.

So i just got my nexus today (Finallyyyy).

I set it up without charging it as it still had 75% initially.

All went well.

Downloaded all apps.

Then I decided it's time to charge (was at 45% a few hours later.)

So i turned it off, plugged it in to the wall charger and let it charge for about 2 hours.

Came back ,it displayed full, i unplugged, turned on ...BAM "system date and time is incorrect" ...and it's been reset to oct 12 ....wthhhh.

I had this with an lg cheap smartphone last year too....wat the ??
