I'm impressed. 3 days, including courier to and from Auckland, to have my battery and lcd replaced under warranty.
That's great service, Phonefix.

I'm planning to hand my phone to fonefix for this early shutdown problem.  For those who got their phone back from fonefix, was your phone reset back to factory settings?    The idea of setting up my phone again from scratch is what discourages me.

Yep, it was, but if you back up contacts, settings and apps to your google account, pictures to G Drive then when you set it up again, it will all just as it was for the most part.

Did this a few weeks back, no great difference aside from showing anyone who has a Galaxy S8 that my phone reads 8.0, versus 7.1....lol

I have recently updated my Nexus 6P to Oreo last week but all of a sudden I am getting no network issues with the Vodafone network. Its not the network and I have replaced the sim and restarted many times but still nothing.

Have the updated carrier settings downloaded yet. Go to the Play store and see if they are there

I sent my 6P into Fonefix two weeks ago due to the battery issue. Very quick turn around (repaired and sent back on same day) and they replaced the screen too. So all happy now. Don't need to walk around with my charger in my pocket!

Same here. Chrome, mail and a few others look like they are the wrong resolution or something. Looks very odd.

Could also try an icon pack like one below and applying it on a launcher that supports icon packs.
