coolcat21: So i just got my nexus today (Finallyyyy).

I set it up without charging it as it still had 75% initially.

All went well.

Downloaded all apps.

Then I decided it's time to charge (was at 45% a few hours later.)

So i turned it off, plugged it in to the wall charger and let it charge for about 2 hours.

Came back ,it displayed full, i unplugged, turned on ...BAM "system date and time is incorrect" ...and it's been reset to oct 12 ....wthhhh.

I had this with an lg cheap smartphone last year too....wat the ??

really ? didnt see this happen ~~~i will keep eye on my phone ~;)

Well mine did something funny last night as well

Plugged it in to charge started to charge, woke up this morning to find that it only charged to 65% and stopped, will see if it happens again tonight, never had the problem with the charger with the nexus 4

much appreciated.
From many reviews, it seems that HDR+ dramatically improves photo quality and should be turned on pretty much all the time lol

Yeah I leave HDR+ on all the time, pics look great IMO, I'm very happy. I'd upload pics but they're all of my kids :-)

Done very little with mine since picking it up yesterday from 2degrees in Sylvia Park (Thanks to the most awesome young lady in there for holding one aside for me for the mad 10 minute dash to secure it).

I've publicly shared on g+ a sample of the macro awesomeness of the camera, finally I have a camera on a phone which eclipses that of my 4 year old sony....

There should be an option in there somewhere to download at full quality/res.

Build quality is nice, i always hated the gnex even tho it didn't feel too much like a samesung due to the back cover but this nexus is kinda like a rubberised htc one from a tactile point of view (to my senses anyway).

Best thing about the phone is the use of it, push the power button and the hardware just disappears and you get on with it.

Who's getting a car charger dock? I was a bit spoilt by the pogo pin samsung one but i settled on an owl qi kit (paid last night received tracking this morning (ems as stanadard free shipping as well)) , the lg one would have been nice but $300, i don't think so.

Set up my new N5 this morning - thanks to POB @ 2deg for seeing my Twitter rant (called their Lambton Quay store at 10am yesterday and was told they wouldn't have stock for ten days... not impressed - and rather inaccurate as it turned out) and reserving one for me at Customhouse Quay which I picked up at lunchtime y/day...

Initial impressions are very positive (upgrading from S3) and this being my first Nexus, nekkid Android is fantastic (after Sony, HTC & Samsung androids). So much more responsive than my S3, and the screen is brilliant. Am not much of a photographer but will take some pics later today and upload them.

Overall, for the price - it's a bargain!

Just picked mine up from 2degrees Riccarton. First impressions are positive, this is replacing my Galaxy Nexus so I've been waiting a while for this.

I got the same exact email. I'm completely baffled as to why no retailers in NZ have any 32GB versions in stock whatsoever. Starting to think I'm going to have to live with a measly 16GB...

Also , does anyone know if the OIS is on all the time or just on Action mode ? Seems like the cam has trouble focusing sometimes.
