Yeah. I have found mine stuck at boot cycle overnight twice. I am going to do factory restore today or tomorrow ...

My views (except when I am looking out their windows) are not those of my employer.

Neets: Hi Tony, do you still have CWM on the pad? That stops the OTA. It's not root that's the problem.

Hi Neets, yes I do. I just found that out on XDA. I need to remove CWM then.

Dingbatt: In the past 24 hours my TF on ICS has rebooted by itself and stalled halfway through loading, requiring a restart using the recovery (pwr + vol down) to resuscitate it. Later it would not wake and required another recovery restart. Having done some research I am now preparing to safeguard my data and doing a fresh factory reset. I installed over top of HC and didnt do a cache clear beforehand.

Anyone else struck this.
mine has been doing that as well with iCS with Honeycombe it was rock solid. Pity I cant go back.  Mine was bought at JB HIFI months ago and is bog standard no modifications

My TF101 has always done an occasional reboot. It's only every week or two or i'd have look into it.

I do often get a message that says "process media.android has unexpectedly terminated", or something like that. Both Android 3.2 and 4.0.3.

It's not the reboot as much as the lockups that concern me. Some threads have mentioned Google+ which for me appeared with the ICS update but I don't use it. I have the TF configured how I want it so i am reluctant to 'clean sheet' the device if I don't have to.
At the moment I am best trying to figure out how to use Titanium Backup to minimise the pain involved. Primarily do I need the TI backup to be on my mSD card so that it doesn't get blitzed in a wipe and re-install.

The ICS TF reboot thread over at XDA has a claim that it is a bug in the update, that ASUS have pulled it from their servers and to wait for a patch next week. Guess I should have taken my own advice and sat on my hands for a week before doing the OTA upgrade. I will file a report to ASUS however and see what they say first hand.

Here is the thread link

Nice, and despite the delay, I'm sure you'll agree it's worth the trouble.

I know you mentioned having un-rooted the pad, have you re-rooted it?  When I looked during the weekend there wasn't a method of applying root on ICS.  Things change quickly and I've not looked in on XDA this week.  Perhaps there's a root option now.  Cheers.

Not yet, we have two and both them are heading out of the office late this week so I will have a couple of weeks before I can do it, however I am sure I saw a method on XDA earlier, will have another look.

I wonder if this reboot issue is related to the dock? I have had mine out of the dock all day today and it has been very stable.

I can confirm that the reboot issue has nothing to do with the dock - at least not in my case. I don't have one and mine is certainly suffering from the problem.

So far, since I booted from recovery (pwr + vol down), my TF hasn't done another problem reboot (one that hangs). For the recovery boot I didn't select the wipe option, I just let it timeout and do a normal bootup. Will continue to monitor but I accept no responsibility if you try it and lose your data, or brick your TF. My TF just has the stock recovery.

Having read this thread I turned on my TF which my wife uses occasionally but there was no update waiting. But once I did a manual check it was there and it downloaded and installed fine. I did have a couple of issues with G+ but I just updated from the Market and that appeared to fix it.

I have had ICS on my Xoom since January and that's a vanilla version given that the Xoom is a GED (US Xoom). It was interesting to see the slight changes that Asus had done to ICS which would explain wh their release took a bit longer to be available.
