There's a fix for the WPA2 wi-fi vulnerability included in 2017-11-06 patch pack that's just been rolled out. Just installed it - it's a 41.1mb patch so takes a few minutes.

I have just had the awful bootloop issue with my Huawei Nexus 6P and I didn't have all my data backed up. Everyone was telling me my phone would have to be wiped to get it working again but I was determined to find someone who could save my data. After countless hours of research and talking to data recovery companies I found Digital Recovery in Hamilton New Zealand and the guy there, James, managed to get my data off AND fix my phone! FYI the whole operation cost $370 which is super reasonable compared to prices I got from other places and also versus the price of losing thousands of memories. So don't give up hope and don't factory reset or wipe your device, there is hope to get your data back and get your phone working again. Give the guys at Digital Recovery a call on 0800 77 77 22 and hopefully they can help you too!

Always make sure you backup your data- then you could have saved yourself the $370.

People seem to forget that phones are not just phones anymore, they are personal devices which carry a LOT of personal info... Why people insist on not backing this stuff up is beyond me..

(This isn't specifically targeted at you, but more of a general PSA...)

I recently joined the Beta program again (maybe foolishly) and now, with 8.1 I frequently have no ring tone when receiving calls while my 6P is locked.

A restart seems to fix it for a while. Anyone else with the same problem (or am I special)?

My Nexus 6P just went into a bootloop yesterday while at the grocery store. Have contacted Huawei for guidance. Was purchased on the Geekzone deal two years ago. After a second round of repair, the first being for battery life, has anyone had theirs replaced outright?

Mine into bootloop this afternoon too. Have to see what options exist for getting in and backing up some stuff - a reason that I liked phones with SDCard slots.

Owners of Nexus 6P win class action lawsuit in the US. Google is offering sizeable refunds for all the issues this so called 'premium' device has.

I bought my 6P from NL, had the battery dying at 50% issue and got the motherboard replaced in late 2017. Now the same issue is occurring again along with major slowdowns.

Is it worth pulling the CGA for this?

Agree. After almost 2 years when the battery was replaced as part of the warranty, the problem is back again.

I recently replaced mine with a battery I bought from AliExpress. Following the guide I found online, it's now back to a useful state. Cost me $15 in total.

i don't have the problem as you guys. Still leaves me with at least 40% by end of the day.

i was about to get a new battery from PB Tech, hope they can install it too..

Almost 2 years since I had the battery replaced. Starting to get screen lag and sudden shutdowns while the battery is supposedly between 10-15% again. Frustrating as I've got a bunch of other items in my budget list so I'll try and squeeze another year or so out of it then get a replacement.
