Googling around it seems there's an update out there already for reassigning of the Bixby button. Checking for updates from my phone says I already have the latest. It's been a long while since I used a Samsung phone... since the S3 to be precise. How do updates get pushed to phones in NZ these days? Is the telco the gate keeper for OTA updates?

I assigned the button when I got the phone out of the box no trouble.

How did you do that? When I look at the "Bixby key" item in config it says "The Bixby key setting isn't available yet..." etc.

I think from memory I had to sign in with a Samsung account, and setup Bixby first, then I had access in the settings to assign the bixby key.

The OEM screen protector is not coping at all well with being inside a hard shell (full, clearview type) cover. A bit of plastic on plastic action going on has caused it to scuff up quite badly. So it will have to come off. It was belt and braces protection anyway, on my last phones, the combo of a hard shell case and gorilla glass has sufficed.

Everything I read says to remove the screen protector anyway. I have done so.

Any recommendations for S10 cases? Looking for something reasonably slim and pocketable, but still provides some protection.

Also needs a decent sized cutout for the charging port. I can only use 1 out of my 3 charging cables with the current case.

Have you updated? You may need to force the software update of it's not happening in a timely manner.

The one that comes with it is not to bad, depends on how much protection you need.

I am sure the ones sold in nz had them included, it is in the flat box with all the paper work and sim ejector tool

NZ sold S10 don't come with a case included unfortunately, at least my S10+ didn't come with one.

I purchased a Spigen Thin Fit for my S10e through Amazon. Not bulky, good size cut outs - worth a look.

I have a Ringke Fusion costing around $20 from Aliexpress and a UAG Plyo for around $49 from Mobilefun.co.nz for my S10+

I'm using an Otter Box but can't recall the model. It's the one with the leather magnetised flap over the screen.

No probs with any charging cables. Works with wireless charging. Will carry an ATM card etc inside the front too so can be a wallet-lite for going out.
