My TF was operating well on Honeycomb, so despite telling myself earlier to wait before upgrading to ICS, I went ahead and upgraded via the official OTA. While the above comments about browsing, font etc are true I can't recommend upgrading to the stock ICS at the moment mainly because of a serious bug causing the TF to reboot and lockup when it enters deep sleep. I have lost count of the number of times I have come back to my TF to find it frozen halfway through its bootup sequence.
So my advice, yes upgrade to ICS....eventually. But I would wait until this bug is sorted out. At the moment I am seriously considering going back going back to HC. I just wish I had loaded a recovery when I rooted my TF so I could just flash a saved ROM back on to it like I have done numerous times on my DesireHD when ROMs haven't worked out.

No, mine does the same and is stock standard never been rooted. Worked flawlessly on Honeycombe apart from keyboard lag but since update this is the problems I have

All quiet still on the update of the the update (some sources claiming this week). In the interim I have tried two of the suggested fixes for the reboot problem. I have
1) re-enabled 'auto airplane mode' (available on the Android Market oops I mean Google Play Apps) and,
2) toggled the screen activity checkbox under 'ASUS customised settings'.

I initially installed AAM when there was excessive battery drain during sleep when I first got the TF before HC got patched to fix it. Since there is a suggestion that it is the energy state the TF is at during deep sleep I thought it couldn't hurt to try it as it is much less invasive than something like 'SetCPU'.
As for toggling the setting, apparently some of the selections that are set as a default on installation of ICS show a tick in the checkbox but there is no corresponding "true" statement in the code. Toggling the box off and on again (or vice versa) sets the correct statement. The poster in XDA was German so his english was not exact.

A few days without a random reboot so far (he says reaching for the largest piece of wood to touch). Now if only ICS hadn't wrecked my 720p video playback (particularly in Diceplayer).

Call it 'Commentators Curse' , or maybe the piece of wood I touched wasn't big enough. I just came back to my TF after it had only been in standby for 20min at the most to find it locked up halfway through its boot sequence, necessitating a long push on the power button and cold reboot. Maybe I'll just concentrate on a replacement ROM until ASUS sort their 'S" out.

For what it's worth, I was getting at least daily reboots/crashes to boot screen until I changed the wifi sleep policy to "never" (wifi still turns off as I have auto airplane mode installed, mind you). Only have had one crash in the week since. Other commentators have suggested it has something to do with GPS positioning as well - either way, the ICS update is not 100% but now pretty tolerable for me.

Hey folks, ICS update is out. I downloaded this morning via the update tool in Settings on the TF. Not sure what it has fixed. I was only getting very occasional reboots. None so far today.

This only applies to the TF 101 and not the Prime

After a few weeks of use, my transformer prime has become a bit glitchy in that the screen flickers from time to time, also for some reason after editing power point slides in Polaris Office and pressing save, (saying it saves), it does not actually save as when you come back to it, all that editing is lost. It happens from time to time, sometimes it saves, sometimes it doesn't.
Found out if you select save as, it works all the time, but that is highly annoying that you always have select this.

Maybe I should consider going back to honeycomb.
Other than this, my Prime works great, compared to those with rebooting/deep sleep problems.

I have not been following your issue, but I do get the impression you are the only person who is experiencing a problem?

Are you able to describe what is happening? Have you tried obvious ideas like changing the broadcast channel.

Sorry if all this has been covered before?

There's a new firmware update available that at least partially fixes the ICS reboot issue. I had to manually check for an update to get it.

helicrew, turning of WiFi when the screen is off is a selectable option in the Asus section of the settings. It reduces standby battery use hugely, which is a big win IMHO. Personally I didn't find the Asus option very effective, I use Auto Airplane Mode by Don.

Hey folks,

There is another OTA update to kernel .24 which MAY address the ongoing sleep issues. Having said that the early May update certainly improved my SOD and reboot issues.

Mine has been SO much better since the last update

Just one random instance of a continuous reboot cycle, which has never happened before so I am assuming a random event.

I don't know what version I'm on, .23 or .24, but I got an update a week or so ago. I had a reboot loop again last night, it took about 25% of my battery before it stopped.
