eth: Does anyone have an idea of when the Moto G in NZ will get the Lollipop update?

Motorola has just released an update (today) to it's "Motorola Update Services" app, that is needed for OTA update to Lollipop, so shouldn't be to long before Moto G starts getting OTA Lollipop update somewhere in the world.

I just got an update for Motorola Update Services, the purpose being to "enable a future upgrade to Lollipop".

So I think it should be in the next few days! smile

I've semi retired my moto G and gone back to my GPe'd HTC One as it was looking more likely to receive Lollipop first, moto might get in there first and have me changing back in the interim :P

Just bought the moto g as my backup phone. Going to go to USA for a few weeks so thought it might be handy to have my NZ sim in there.

My husband and I both got a Moto G a few weeks ago - LOVE it!  It's so much faster than my old phone.  My husband loves HTC phones and wanted to upgrade to a ridiculously expensive one next year so I was glad when he saw sense and decided to get the Moto G as well.  He loves it now too.

Maybe they are waiting for Android 5.0.1  to be released.  Should be rolling out to the Nexus 9, Nexus 7 (2013) and Nexus 10 tablets soon  and phones soon after..

I agree, such a great phone for an amazing price. I have found it to be as good as comparable android phones which are about twice the price and three (or more) times as good as my old android phone which actually cost more!

Any way to stop this upgrade? My fiance has only just managed to wrap her head around the existing interface, 5.0 would just confuse her.

I may just have to put a custom recovery on it to block the upgrade.

I'm still very impressed with the phone.

Just ignore the upgrade notification.   I personally like the A5.0.0  interface on the lock screen.  Some other parts I'm not too happy about..

Odd I can't find an update to Motorola Update Services in the Google Play Store.

looks like that app and the update is for the moto g 2013 only - not the 2014 moto g lte XT 1039 model many of us will have. I second its great price, quality and size. :)
