seriously:fahrenheit:seriously:kiwijunglist: Standard procedure for mobicity is to open the box, turn the phone on for testing (including inserting a SIM) +/- unlocking prior to sending.
I have no idea what they did there exactly.
Selecting 'Automatic' at the top of the menu (before the selection of COMBI BANDS) gave me the same as you, all but the 850 WCDMA with the *.
I wonder where it pulls those from (if it polls the network its currently connected to or references the firmware) and what would happen if you popped in an XT sim and disabled all the GSM entries and 900 WCDMA and enabled 850...
If I had an XT sim card I would try it for you, unfortunately I don't. Surely someone else has one and can try though?
:edit: Realised why mine weren't on by default...I had had enable 2g only (for 'saving battery'), taking that off puts the default to [automatic] and has the same as what I posted before, all but the WCDMA850 selected.
Nah definitely doesn't work, tried it last month when it was on the XDA-developers thread :) won't pickup XT at all. But...hopefully it's just the radio firmware, if only someone was brave enough just to flash the 850mhz Radio firmware. I would if I had a spare phone, but at the moment. Original thread was here:
