You're not alone with the FB sync issue, i jsut assumed it was a FB issue and figure i will live with it until an update comes out?
I look to have resolved my drain issues with another wipe/flash. Maybe an issue with latest Siyah kernel, maybe operator error on my behalf.
Have to say though every version of a samsung ICS rom i used had FC issues and ironically they seemed to get more and more frequent the later the release but i have not had a single FC type issue on this rom, it looks and feels super stable
Changing the NTP server to NZ doesn't help the GPS a great deal, the better option in my experience is Crypted's AGPS patch, it makes a huge improvement:
Also - concerning battery drain. ICS can cause massive battery drain initially due to its power management getting "confused". The best way I've found to fix it is to shut the phone down, pull the battery for a little while, then plug it back in and charge it fully, then power it back on again, seems to sort it out. Betterbatterystats will show you what's going on though, I don't recall the name of the culprit process unfortunately, but it should settle down after a bit.
Also, remember to disable Fast Dormancy by dialling #*#*9900*# if you're not with Vodafone.
Wade: I am getting insane battery drain on this rom, It looks to be a wakelock issue but buggered if i can work it out, battery menu tells me it is media. Rebooting can drop the battery level 40% or more, the phone is not running hot as it would with a rogue app. Have pulled battery, reset battery stats, reset fuel chip, run flat and left overnight on charge, done all the usual things but to no avail.
I did a full data/cache/dalvik wipe on install, and even re-installed rom just in case... Any ideas what this could be?
You've used betterbatterystats to try and locate it? My battery life has been on par with other roms I've tried and I've had no significant wakelocks at all.
My only issue, apart from getting used to the change in sd card location, has been touchscreen sensitivity. It seems to be just a little slow, but not all the time, and sometimes doesn't register touches at all.

Experiencing the same with touch sensitivity.. I feel like I have to quite deliberate with my screen presses now.

I concur on the touchscreen sensitivity. And sometimes when using the keyboard you don't hear a tap and think perhaps you didn't press the key but it has pressed, it's just delayed.
I had to restore from TiB in batches. Everything did restore without problem but it wouldn't do the whole lot in one hit.
Last night while doing nothing with the phone the battery was draining like mad, but it seems to be fine today.
Not that I care too much, but I can't set FB up as an account to sync. Sorry if it sounds like I'm just here dumping the problems. I think it's great we have a local dev. Thanks for the time and effort working on this, and then sharing it with the GZ community.
Yeps also with the restoring in batches.. The one hit batch kept freezing but batches of 5 worked okay. In all, it's fine and i'm fine pressing on without the need to go back to my nandroid now. CM9 looks like it's making some good progress and overall i'm happy. My 1080p videos are playing fine
