If you're getting the Z1 and have PS3 controller make sure to buy a USB OTG cable, that way you'll be able to pair it up for wireless use :)

So nice that Sony FINALLY added that to their Android devices officially.

nzrocketman: I'm going to Vodafone at lunch time to paly around with it, if its in the store. maybe tempted to get this if they let me have a look at the screen before buying.

I might work out how to put the uk version on it bcos I think new Zealand will be slow at getting all the firmware updates.

There 4 out atm. with the one you imported have you got the updates yet

Oh yeah I forgot to mention yesterday I had an over the air update for the firmware version 14.1.G.1.534

I believe that's the latest firmware, I don't know what the changes were but apparently it's improved the performance of the camera.

Year its camera performance and from what I've seen and read its made quite a bit of a difference.  I might try it on the new Zealand version for a bit to see if they push out the updates at the same time.  If not ill put a uk version on so I can get the updates.

If anything to go by Xperia Z experience, the update should only be 1-2 weeks delay. I prefer phone with local ROM for best performance

The retail price on the phone is better though, priced at £660 in most places here (NZ$1290)
