As explained by @NikT in the Nokia thread, Huawei sells a single version of their OS for all carriers/channels in New Zealand and Australia, instead of one for each partner.

Pre-ordered the P20 Pro :) Now to get all my quickcharge kit swapped over to SuperCharge. Anyone got a link to a good range of USB C 5a cables?

Most problems are the result of previous solutions...

I've read the selfie camera is very average. Can someone share their experience?

I don't take many selfies but the front camera seems "OK".
Just be careful by default when you change to front camera it would go to portrait mode and I think with beauty mode on which soften your skin to make you look like wax people. And I think that's how some websites tested the front camera.
Some people would love it but I would definitely turn it back to normal mode and the result is a lot sharper and shows my rough skin texture and imperfections lol

It's due to the fixed focus, even if beauty mode is turned down to 0.

Haha i didn't know you are so into "hardcore" selfies Robbie.

I can send you a selfie photo privately if you want? As i said, it's OK. The rear camera is WAY better but I think it's the same for most phone cameras? I actually can't comment too much as I almost never use the selfie camera on my phones apart from ocassionally instagram selfies which got downscale dramatically anyway

Btw, just took some photos comparing P20 Pro's 40MP RAW output with my full frame 36MP Nikon D800 and a Nikkor 28mm prime lens. The photo from my Nikon is better, but I'm surprised how good the P20 Pro's RAW file actually is consider it's from a camera that is almost 20 times bigger!

It's not me wanting the selfies, it's the wife and the daughter. We find nowadays that the selfie camera is the main camera especially during travels.

Update:

Yes please send me some selfie samples with different lighting conditions and distance from the phone if possible.

Picked up my p20 pro preorder from Noel Leeming on my way home from work.

First impressions are very good. Quickly getting used to the notch and the triple cameras seem to live up to the hype. Haven't noticed any lag either and I haven't used a headphone jack on a phone for six months so doubt I'll miss it much.

I'm less than eight hours in so too early to give a proper opinion on it but I'll be sure to pop back in a few days to update my feelings about it.

Aliexpress is your friend in this case, got a few 5A cables off them recently for my Mate 10 Pro.

They also sell third party chargers that support SuperCharge (also bought a couple of those)
