@Dingbatt Which cases did you go for?

Just a full wallet case and a couple of ones with back shells that had front frames and a flexi-handle on the back.

From my experience with the ZF3, I don’t like leaving the front screen unprotected. And I hoped the handle means the phone won’t rock on the camera bump so much.

Subsequent to ordering, I picked up what I hope is a good quality hard-shell case from PBTech.

A “Torras Galaxy Z Fold7 Ostand Spin Case” to be exact. (Sorry can’t link it)

For about twice as much as the AE ones combined, but I’m protecting a $3000 phone, so….

Come on team, it's been 24 hours since deliveries. Whats the phone like? As disappointing as the specs indicate?

It's awesome! No regrets.

Got it late yesterday afternoon and it took the rest of the night to get it configured like my old ZFold6.

Shadow blue is such an awesome color and it's a shame to put it in a case but it feels too slim and delicate to take that risk and now using the Torras spin case which is also awesome, mag safe, rotating stand, hinge protection and still quite slim.

Battery has lasted ages so far for the first cycle but then again I don't game on it or go around taking a lot of photos or videos.

Definitely a lot better having bigger front and inner screens now.

Having cutout for inner camera is fine but I would prefer even if they fully removed it.

Only other downside apart from obviously a bigger battery is no spen which is shocking even though I rarely used it,  still would be good to have especially on a $3250 to $4000 phone!!!!!

Also no reason they could have upgraded the other 4 year old main 2 rear cameras, come on Samsung cheaping out once again.

What times you getting? 1 and 2 week later techtuber reviews all seem to be in agreement how disappointing the battery life, not helped by the turtle place charging speed.

I'm still on my first full charge and SOT says 7h47m with 22% left.

I'll be happy if every cycle ends up like that but really just need to wait and see over the next couple of weeks for how it behaves for my type of use.

That's pretty damn good vs what others have posted around 4-5 hours

I dont think it will be the norm, probably only because I was using it basically non stop and with less intense resource use.

Didn't use inner screen as much.

Will have to see how the battery drains when not in use,  with my Zfold6 it was pretty shocking and even drained quickly when doing nothing.

What's a really good battery drain monitor app? I tried a couple and they don't really help me much pinpoint what's causing the main drains etc.

I'm not sure what others are seeing but I have been using mine for a few weeks now and battery life is similar or better than the Fold6 next to it.

SOT is definitely not a good measure of battery life comparison because its SUCH a personal measure, it depends on sooooooo many factos for each person. What apps are running in the background, brightness, connectivity, whats on screen, just a pletthora of factors. One might get 3 hours of SOT running google navigtion and netfix side by side for the whole 3 hours. another might get 8 hours just having whatsapp open the whole time messaging.

Overall im super happy with it, i had the fold6 and switched to S25 ultra , now came back to fold. its such a unique and fun device, it makes everything just that little bit more enjoyable when using the inside screen.

Coming from an Oppo Find X8 Pro, the battery life on this is ROUGH if not outright terrible. The 25w charging speeds are also not uptoscratch for 2025, a quick 10-15 minutes on the Oppo gives me enough for half a day, an hour on the Fold will give me a couple hours. Can't see me holding onto this for very long.

(Drop a bloody cinder black on my Oppo, destroyed lol)

I guess I should feel lucky I haven't been spoiled by alternatives then, since the battery has felt great on this for me and my purposes. I would only really notice on the weekend anyway, since it's docked with power between meetings during the week while I'm working. Even the lack of S-Pen isn't impacting me after getting a capacitive stylus with thin nib. Doesn't have the pressure settings and button shortcut, but writes notes just fine.

Yeah, once you dip into the Chineses brands you start to realise just how far behind Samsung (Google and Apple) are on a number of hardware specs, battery being primary among them.

You decided to use it, instead of selling it? If so, you should remove the listing, surely.

Oh yeah good catch. Still for sale but my other phone played with a cinder block and lost so had to open.

Will edit the listing
