@Skyruner You must not understand the update process as it's Samsung Korea not Samsung NZ that creates the update and pushes them out

Not a problem. Samsung Korea and Samsung overall don't care about their NZ customers. You spend your earned money on a flagship model and have a right to expect excellent product support with regular updates and security patches.

Also had a similar size update on my Spark S8. It changed the Spark boot screen and updated the security patch to May 2018

Mine updated (S8+) as well, Can't say I notice anything but then again not really looking as I suspect most things are pretty much the same but tweaked.

Blurb says security update and some camera performance tweaks (apparently).
All done, and a second reboot just to be sure.

Not sure what Samsung did but this last update made my s8 smooth as hell. Can flip between secure folder sessions and back again and it's seemless.

Guys need some help, someone may have had similar.

3 weeks I started having issues charging phone, it charges on wireless but not fast charger.

Thinking it was cable I swapped but no go, swapped cables and charger for old S7 charger, no go. Tried cables in car USB, sometimes does sometimes doesn't.

I can connect to PC and it works ok meaning I can access phone and it charges.

I bought another Samsung charger and cable but same issue.

I've switched off and on done most things except hard reset but will probably need to.

Only thing I can think of is that at same time, or thereabouts, I bought a NUC and plugged phone in, initially it wouldn't recognise it and some stuff came up on phone but didn't have glasses on so just hit yes or what i thought it was so maybe that but certainly seems to be software rather than hardware but appreciate thoughts.

Edit: solved was a hardware issue Samsung fixed it under warranty
