Is this after a recent software update? I had a similar issue when I was in Hong Kong it downloaded an update and I had to factory reset my phone to restore to make it work.

I am not running Android 10 Beta but if this is something between Google and Huawei even on Android 9, then yes this could be affecting my phone.

Thanks, but again "Huawei said the issue should only affect phones running the Android 10-based EMUI 10 beta software"

I am having this problem and not running Android 10. I might try HiSuite to see if there's an update but shouldn't be the case.

Is there an easy way to revert from the 2degrees custom firmware on my Huawei P30 to the generic Huawei firmware? It gave me a choice of switching the first time I inserted my 2degrees SIM card, but I'd like to switch back if possible.

It is a single firmware. It just added the 2degrees APN, wasn't it?

I just wondered whether I'd get Android security patches faster with the generic firmware than with the 2degrees firmware? Don't teclos have to test and approve them first? Mine is on the August 1 Android security update and when I check for updates, none are available. But on the Huawei website the latest Android security update for the P30 is the September one.

@freitasm Have you sorted your Google Pay issues?

My views (except when I am looking out their windows) are not those of my employer.

No. Neither Netflix. Just sent the phone back to Huawei today to have it reflashed.

Weird, I don’t use Google Pay, have Westpac Pay installed...but Google Pay keeps popping up saying switch to Google Pay? Guessing it wouldn’t work if I switched (Westpac don’t support it in any case)

I got an update on my P30 the other day. EMUI 9.1.0.193 and the phone is acting up. Screen keeps turning on as though there is a notification but there is none and one instance of an incoming call and the screen would not turn on at all so couldn't answer it. No other call problems since, all though I have only received a couple of calls, but the 'notification' screen on is still happening. More of an annoyance than anything else.

Anyone else having problems?
