Hmmm, the change log kind of reads like its an advance version, weird. First thing you need to do is check for that logo in the location settings! (not available for me yet, come on Spark)

This is actually a higher version that the one reported as originally being distributed overseas as couple of weeks ago. And definitely not a beta.

Nice! Glad to see it roll out.

I have been enjoying EMUI 10 on the Mate 30 Pro, it will of course hit many more folks with the P30 series.

Keen punters should bear in mind that Mauricio's unit is the APAC open market Dual SIM model sent out for advance reviews, not the NZ single SIM version, and thus receives different software updates. Shouldn't be more than a few weeks away for local models.

Judging by the caption of this post from Huawei NZ - https://www.instagram.com/p/B5qqAYsJ0xE/ - Seems like it will be more likely after New Years for the EMUI 10 rollout.

One thing I've noticed with EMUI 10 is missing the "LTE Carrier Aggregation" and "LET high-speed mode" switches in the mobile section in Settings. If you search for "LTE" these will appear as results so you can toggle the switches (if you had then ON already before upgrade they will remain on).

These options have been moved to Developer Settings now.

Thanks. Do you know what are the defaults now for new handsets?

Both CA and LTE High Speed mode should be on by default.

Feature flags like this should be automatically configured based on the SIM card that is inserted in the handset.

Received an update for sound during voice calls and December 2019 security. Still no 4G VoLTE on Vodafone...

Hey there. What Network are you on? Did you do anything to change the device to pick up the update early? Highly unlikely one person in NZ happened to get it, I could be very wrong though. I am now in communication with Huawei about the update, getting them to go to the Dev team with my complaint. They need to hold back on the "Globally Released" announcement until it actually does get released globally. False advertising. 😉

I have a non-NZ model (dual SIM), distributed to media for review. The Android 10 update for NZ/AU models will be out later this quarter.

Mauricio has the VOG-L29 dual SIM variant, not the local VOG-L09 single SIM version. The update cadence is different. NZ P30 Pros have not received EMUI 10 yet.

Not if I can help it, I am their worst nightmare, it is total b*ll crud that they are holding it back. Two to three posts a day should get them to rethink their snail pace roll out. And to not advertise a Global release when it was only China. 🤣

The update has a staggered release to allow for testing and quick fix if needed.

Constant nagging won't give you it any faster.
