I want to upgrade to the newest Firmwate. It hasn't been released yet by telecom and there not saying anything about it unlike voda. Is it OK to install a firmware from another CSC with Odin?

TheUngeek: Less than $40 you say? Links?

Unfortunately I didn't get them both off this guy because his shipping speed is awesome. Still waiting for the receiver.

Have you a link to the other components?

I have discovered that I am not hearing the first 3 'rings' when the phone is ringing

How do you turn off this ascending tone feature? Is Samsung becoming Apple?

Like the s3, you can't. There are apps in the play store that do it tho.

Which countries firmware would you recommend I use to update with Odin. I have had experience with ROMs and such just never with Samsung once I have a firmware the rest I should be able to complete cheers for the help.

if you want to stay stock choose one from here
http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/

I'm running the german release of MEA as the latest (MF2) seems to have some issues, well at least on custom Roms which Im running.

Check out here if you're not sure but I'm told that Samsung is one of the easier to Flash and Odin is pretty good if you follow the directions

You know there's an Aussie XSA MEA? I've found it's better than the german one.

Apart from the app 2 sd update has it improved the overall performance of the phone?
