So had my Z3 compact for a month or so now and wondering if anyone else is finding flap over sim card slot keeps coming loose. Its not coming right off, but when you push it shut tight after about 2min you can see its not sitting in line with the phone and has moved out about a 1-2mm.

Ironically I never open sim slot but always open the USB flap to charge phone and its totally fine and never budges once shut

I highly doubt if I did have it in water for some reason it would be water proof now and worried in my pocket if it catches will come off and over time get looser and looser. Purchased from Sony locally so thinking about taking it back. But want to see if anyone else has experienced this and its normal for sim flap to sit out slightly from the phone.

I'd take it back for sure, nigh on 2 months here and they're both shut tight. Like you say, it wouldn't be too good in water now. If it was USB they might have some come back, but sim I think they should take a look for you.

I have had my one for about 2 months as well and have had no issues with the flaps. Definitely take it back to be fixed.

Sony Style stores in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch are having a Family & Friends Sale tonight from 6PM to 9PM.

The person on the phone did not give me what price Z3 compact is going to be, but he said it is significant.

Not bad. Was holding out for better though, considering it involves driving to the other side of Auckland.

Fair enough. Although you can get them to post it for you or hold it at this price. It comes with 2 year warranty.

Sorry if this has been asked before, but what is the best slim case for it? and where can I get a good quality magnetic charging cable?

I've ordered a Roxfit slimline book case which should be here in a day or so. I wanted something which kept the bulk to a minimum, so will let you know.

I got a Nillkin case like so:

They seem to be a nice fit. They have a textured back so easy to grip and not too bulky.

I am planning to order this case from Amazon, along with Magnetic Charging cable adapter or cable itself.
Anywhere else I should check before processing that order from Amazon / via Youshop?

I generally look at sites like eBay and mobilefun:
http://www.mobilefun.co.nz/50380-rearth-ringke-fusion-sony-xperia-z3-compact-bumper-case-clear.htm)
http://www.mobilefun.co.nz/search/?s=z3+compact+magnetic

The problem with eBay is getting people to ship to NZ at a reasonable price. mobilefun is fairly expensive too (though I think their shipping rate is slightly more reasonable). I guess the question is if youshop will charge more.

I've actually been looking for a case/charger too, so perhaps we could share the shipping cost or something?
