My daughter has had the original Note 4G since Christmas and it has been a solid performer, nice screen (720p) long battery life and nice sound.

The xiaomi note 2 is US 149 not 128?
Also the LTE bands are not compatible here?

About a week ? Rule #1 of buying phones from China, expect the processing time to take 5x what you are quoted.

The phone itself left China late Thursday night, arrived in Hong Kong 1am Friday morning, left Hong Kong @ 7pm Friday. Arrived in Auckland at 1am Saturday. Passed customs Saturday afternoon.

Hopefully it will be here in Feilding by Tuesday :)

Feel free to give a running commentary :-) I'd love a device with the 4g rural band (26? 28? whichever) but that's probably not happening any time soon, so I'm on the verge of ordering this come a good review from someone like yourself..

I am at work right now, so cant do too much. Will do photos tonight and put the phone through its paces.

- Much nicer looking than I thought it would be in the flesh.
- Seems very snappy.
- Excellent display, is not the brightest I have used, however its perfectly adequate.
- MIUI will take some getting used to.

I've got a Vodafone Smart Prime here that I've been playing with over the weekend. IMHO this phone is an absolute steal for $149, and really makes me wonder why people bother importing phones when devices such as this are so cheap.

Yes it's not a high end device, but it's going to beat most midrange handsets on the market.

far far far better than any Chinese phone I have had in the past.
