Any chance the Nillkin super frosted shield case for LG V30 in black will be one of the cases available on launch?
https://www.nillkin-case.com/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=5721

Yep, that's the one. Nice cases those.

Hi Nik
Would you guys be getting the V30 as well? Or just the V30+
Thanks

Edit: Ignore that, according to the PBTech chat person v30 is highly unlikely to be coming. Also I mistakedly thougth that v30 will be smaller in size like s8 and s8 plus.

Correct, just a difference in storage capacity. LG AU/NZ have no plans to range the 64GB at this point.

@NikT - I just jumped on the website to attempt a pre-order, however it's stating that it's unavailable.  Guess I was late to the party huh?

Aaaaand that'll be the launch shipment sold out then! Sorry mate, this one was ridiculously popular. All going to plan there'll be more stock arriving before the end of next week. Still super-limited though.

Only a little bit, it's significantly faster to jump between 3G and 4G than my (Qualcomm) iPhone 8 Plus. Shouldn't imagine it's too far removed from the X16 implementations in the OnePlus 5 and XZ Premium I've spent some time with which have all been rather good. Recently I've been most impressed with Huawei's Mate 9 and Motorola's Moto Z, the Z in particular seems to cling to usable signals like a limpet in spots others struggle with (and it was bloody excellent when roaming in the US, amusingly stomping all over friends' actual US kit to the point where they all had to hotspot off of my roaming data connection at a particularly remote wedding venue. Nothing beats dual SIM Android flagships from the big boys when it comes to maximum network perf - to the point where telcos which will remain unnamed have purchased numerous dual SIM devices from my team for network testing due to them being otherwise unavailable in NZ.

Sold out already! Wow that's an awesome response. The good thing about that from my point of view is I have a few more weeks to convince the wife that, yes indeed I do need a new phone. I think I'll use the old " Our son needs a new phone so I'll give him my Z5 and I'll get a new one for myself" argument and see how it goes laughing

The stores will get their pre order allocation shipped today but won’t realise it to buyers before Friday. Hamilton store has 3. I have one of them :)

Do whatever you want to do man.

That’s only stores outside of Auckland to ensure customers who preordered get their stock on release day.

Someone at Hamilton will be getting a kind reminder that release dates exist for a reason. Glad to hear you’re enjoying it though. :)

You got it wrong @NikT. I have one of the 3 backorders under my name. I don’t have this phone yet. I was told to come Friday morning to pick it up. Haha I hope you haven’t told Hamilton store off.

Sadly all the stock at wellington is spoken for. Oh well, only another day or two, hopefully.
