I wonder if it's held up with the delays with OneUI 4 and android 12?

Could be, the Snapdragon variant of the FE  is scheduled to receive the Oneui4/Android 12 update in 01/22 which will probably be circa 03/22

2023 and my S20FE is now two months with no security updates. I should have listened to myself and stuck with iPhone. I knew Samsung and Android are garbage but didn't listen. Time to get my mothballed iphone out.

”Garbage” is somewhat overstating this, surely?! But. yeah, if you are uncompromising in such requirements then the Wild West of Android may not be right for you.

@jonathan18 yeah you are right. I was annoyed a bit and sore. Android is not that bad I think it’s Samsung that needs to be better

Now January 10 and still no security update. The cynic in me tells me that should have been expected and Samsung trying to push folks to buy the just released S21FE. I should have listened to Mike, he did remind me of past experiences  with Samsung *sigh*

Why are you so mad about the security patches?

I have a phone that has only received three updates and is now three months behind in security patches and is used for business. Correction was used for business I have dragged my fully secure iPhone 11 to use for business.

My brand new (Saturday) S21 FE says Android Security Patch level is 1 November 2021. So I dont think anyone is going to select this phone for its patch level :-)

Fair enough. I'm just wondering why, not trying to push any buttons.
However if you wanted something secure why not use a Pixel with Graphene OS? Or does your business not allow custom roms on work devices?

Plus, Samsung NZ does not have the fastest rollouts for patches, pretty odd even for security patches but yeah, the latest one being bundled with OneUI 4 doesn't help.
When I was in Korea, the patches seemed to come through once announced on SNS.

I will probably buy an iPhone 13 Pro and donate the S20FE.

MikeB4: Have S20FE users received the December security update? My handset is still on 1 November patch.
I am on Spark.

My Android Security Patch Level is dated 01 December on my S20FE. I'm on Spark

No Jan update on mine, do have 01 December security patch. I also should have added my phone was purchased directly from Samsung NZ.

If you can't laugh at yourself then you probably shouldn't laugh at others.
