Hmmm I'm finding them loud as hell. What tone are you using? Maybe an issue with the file?

I have to ask. What are Samsung doing? This new S4 LTE-A with the current S4 only on the market for 2 months? How many different variations of all their devices? Are they not completely over saturating the market while pissing off A LOT of existing owners?

Hi all,

I've just moved from an HTC One X to an S4 and am setting everything up, one thing I cant figure out which was relatively simple on the One X is the management/syncing of contacts and their associated accounts.

I have set the phone to display my Google contacts and each contact is linked with their respective Facebook profile if they have one.
Currently the phone will display the Facebook profile picture for the contacts that I have NOT uploaded a picture for in Google Contacts.

All other contacts will show the contact picture that is uploaded in my Google Contacts even if they DO have a Facebook profile linked.

Is there any way to change this?

I only want to have my Google Contacts in my contact list but want to have my contacts show their Facebook profile pictures who do have a profile linked with their contact entry.
I dont want to change the 'Contacts to Display' setting to Facebook Contacts as that will show ALL my Facebook Contacts not just the ones that are linked with my Google Contacts

Thanks for any help you can provide guys

Have just done the same change as you last Sunday.
You will be impressed with the battery ;)

So, you want all contacts with a FB profile to show the FB pic rather than the Google pic?

I suspect politics has dictated that Google takes preference.

You have the option to only show contacts with phone numbers. If that helps? (I don't use facebook, so I have no idea).

Yep I think you're right and had a sneaking suspicion this might be the case, not a major issue at all but I liked that you could do that on the One X.

And you're right about the battery too! After switching it on for the first time after a full initial charge, I went through the customary setting up/playing around.
Screen on time 5 hours... 5 hours!!! Surprised... and still had 17% battery left before I decided to put it back on the charger for its second charge.
Total Standby time before putting it back on charge - 29 hours.

Blew the One X out of the water (albeit it does have a smaller battery)

You can pick which account you want it to show the picture of. While in the contact hit the options button, select "Mark as Default" and pick the account you want to use

Why does my s4 only send and receive pxts when mobile data is on?
Neither of my HTCs needed it enabled

MMS requires mobile data on ALL mobile networks in the world the HTC would of turned on mobile data when required

Am aware of that. I am just wondering why I have to do it manually on Samsung.

Why is it that SIP calls on my S4 (and my old S2 when I tried) are crap? Yet an Iphone3 in the same house with the same SIP provider on same access point is perfect?

So when you actually turn off mobile data, it's really off... if you have it on and wifi on, it will automatically send.

Yeah. I can't find a setting that will allow PXT to temporarily turn on 3g and send or receive
