pulsta: Great.

Latest update broke Android Auto...

Can't find any fixes apart from downgrading to EMUI 9 which would wipes the phone.

Any gurus out there have any work around I could try?

To answer my own question....I found a solution and AA is working again!

Installed 'Android Auto for phone screens' as well as 'Android Auto'

Hope this helps someone.

First time sticking my nose in this thread but it's hard having to dig through the thread.

In short, if I bought one of these can I use it on Spark prepay? I saw a few posts talking about having to buy it on 2Degrees then opting out.

Yes you can. NZ P30 Pro stock is unlocked and works on all networks.

hello P30/Pro owners. would it still be a good idea to get my daughter a P30 Pro today?

looks like most of you are happy with it, but there are the concerns with huawei.

Specifically which concerns about Huawei?

P30 Pro is an excellent phone and has all Google services. I do have privacy concerns about Google though.

I just bought one, too. I like it, but never having used Android before some things took a while for me to grok.
I used that Phone Clone thing for get stuff off my old iPhone, but it doesn't seem to copy messages, just contacts, photos and what not.

Then I bought Nova Launcher, mostly because people have told me to. I installed it, and I get how it works, but I can't figure out how to have the weather displaying on the main home screen again,

Apologies if this is the wrong forum to make this comment.

long press on a blank area of the home screen then select widgets, scroll to the weather app, then select the widget you want on the screen, move it round to where you want it

can do this with any app that offers a widget

mainly on whether it'll still be getting (security) updates, which looks like it is. price is good, camera is still top-notch (despite being a year from release!), which is certainly a factor... and i couldn't find a better value phone for its price at the moment.

as mentioned previously, this will be for my daughter so the s20 series is a bit too dear. i'm still happy with my p20 pro and would have grabbed me a p40 pro if not for trump - hopefully he doesn't get re-elected and the world regains some sanity.

that's the thing with Google - you have to give up a fair bit of your privacy to reap its benefits. we have home hubs at home, so that's been decided.

thanks for the feedback, y'all.
