Received the update over the weekend, had VoLTE showing on my phone when I was in town yesterday, but by the time I'd got home it was gone again.

Maybe they are testing configurations at the source?

Early yesterday my Huawei P30 Pro showed VoLTE... It disappeared before lunchtime.

It came back around 6pm (when I noticed) and stayed on until 1am (when I went to bed).

This morning it was gone again.

Yeah same with me, had Volte all night and when I got up for work at 6 am then lost it sometime this morning again. Its become a bit of a pain as my p30 pro keeps now reverting to 3g and there is a very long connection time for some calls on 3g taking up to 30 seconds to get a dial tone. I have contacted Vodafone this morning and they state Volte is now officially available on the Huawei p30 pro series from today and to do the old classic "turn your phone off, remove the sim and restart your mobile"......

Sorry, if not directly related to P30 - but wondering, if you had to replace your P30 Pro with a new device is there anything on the market you'd consider upgrading too, Google services for a few things are important to me so P40 and Mate series are really not a viable option, I appreciate the good camera and wireless charging as important need to have features as well..

EMUI 11
Does anyone know: assuming EMUI 11 comes to the p30 will Google Services be
stripped out as it would be on current models?

No, models existing before the ban are licenced for GApps & services. P30 owners have nothing to worry about.

P40 & later devices are not licenced & require some minor jiggery-pokery to achieve full Google service. EMUI 11 will require a new bypass, existing methods will fail. Fortunately Huawei aren't worried about allowing downgrades, that's a simple process documented on Huawei's forum.

Do we consider circumventing Trump's ban with publicly available tools of US origin to be illegal? (Personally, I think the ban is illegal). If so, this post will disappear soon.

If not, then P40 / Pro / Mate phones are very viable options still. There's a substantial price difference between Huawei & Samsung equivalents even though Huawei's build quality is superior IMHO. That discount pays you handsomely for the 10-15mins invested in the all-in-one Googlefier application.

Promoted by XDA, Googlefier is a 150mb apk file that steps you through the process of installing GApps & services. It's easy & it works. I have full everything - Maps, Messages, Notifications, Mail etc. I can sign another account in & out. No shortcomings at all.

I'm on Vodafone and got it last night I think. Still doing new-phone-updates on Daughter's new P30 Pro, but that's because she has to go out to work when I'm at home - until tomorrow

Is anyone having problems with Android auto. Until the last couple of days it's worked fine but now whenever I plug into the car it crashes the phone and seems to go through a very short reboot.
