The changes seem to be inconsequential really. Unless you want to use the floating windows) but who multitaal like that on a small screen? I personally don't) or if you want a more attractive always-on display (which from my experience eats power very quickly so I never had it for longer than a couple of days)... But these are not EMUI 11 problems.

But I see no problem in updating.

My update arrived yesterday, on Vodafone.

A couple of this are presented slightly differently - minor graphic rearrangements. Not sure if this one was there before: underwater mode in camera (requires waterproof housing to safely use- guessing it adjusts for the different refraction in water)

Have any P30 or P30 Pro owners received an Android security update since March 1, or have Huawei dropped support for this model already? I've only had the phone for 24 months and it wasn't exactly cheap.

This is one of the reasons I returned to iPhone after a 10 year break, the Android system is just to fragmented. When a software update is released, I want it straight away, not when the device manufacturer decides to implement it…especially when there is no incentive to do so (a reason Nexus phones were my go to until they stopped selling them here). P30 Pro is a great phone and there is some stuff it could do that my iPhone cannot (always on display etc). But at the end of the day when I pay $1500 plus for a flagship phone, I expect to get more than 2 years worth of updates….5+ year old iPhones are still supported. I do miss the fact there is more selection with Android, but the user experience with iOS (updates) is far better.

This is Huawei's security update policy:
https://consumer.huawei.com/en/support/bulletin/

The P30 and P30 Pro are listed as receiving monthly updates, with the latest update being July 2021. There's a footnote that says certain carriers may only support updates on a quarterly basis, but we're not even getting that anymore.

I've just looked at Huawei EMUI/Magic UI security updates today and only the P30 Lite is there now.

Lame.

I certainly won't be buying another Huawei phone come replacement time 12 months from now.

I'd decided to get an iPhone 13 a while ago but this is another reason to move on.

Anyone else noticed Huawei handsets showing Wifi connected but no Internet (the exclamation point after the icon) while it still actually works?

I think it's related to the Facebook outage, as in the software ping Facebook to determine if there's an active Internet connection available.

Also, shame on not having security updates since March.
