Picked up the phone and headphones from Hamilton branch. Build quality is top notch, very light weight and the ergonomics are good. Top marks to LG for including a fast charger in the box unlike some companies (fruit one) that sells it as an accessory.

Do whatever you want to do man.

Apologies, appears the shipment was delayed at the supplier's end. Currently in customs, should land at PB HQ Monday.

First shipment was pre-sold out completely. Wave two arrives end of next week. You can reserve one at the branch if you like, second wave is moving fast too.

How's everyone finding their V30's? Any in store on display at PB Tech? - I'm keen to see the OLED screen

Did they ship with Nougat or Oreo? I read the Japanese model might be shipping with Oreo, so the update can't be far away if it's not already available.

I decided to stick with my V20 for now. A bit gutted I missed out on the preorder bundle but I think it must have been an omen telling me I'll have to wait until next year.

Nice upgrade from my Nexus 5X which was grinding to a halt.
Still getting through setting it up before I test out all the features, but so far so good.
POLED, has a slight blue shift at wider viewing angles but it doesn't bother me.
Unfortunately, it is a downgrade in OS as the V30+ ships with Android 7.1.2.

Not on display just yet - was planning to pull the demos from the launch stock but they ended up selling out before we could. Will now be on demo next week when wave two arrives. :)

Ships with Nougat. Japan got a country-specific variant they're calling V35. Figure Oreo can't be too far away as V35 ships with it and the update is in beta in Korea.

The screen is really nice. After the initial reviews of media samples that complained of inconsistent luminance, colour shifting, and of course the burn-in controversies with the Pixel 2 XL, I had concerns. But it's great in hand, and the customisation options for screen res + colour balance are most welcome. I run my unit in 1080p with a pleasing white balance. Looks very nice at 1440p in Google Daydream VR too.

Had to be quick for that one, it sold out by Wednesday. Wave two reservations are for the handset by itself (those are going fast too...). If you'd like to pick up in Penrose, either head in store to have them order it, give them a call, or drop a line through to the team at websales@pbtech.co.nz.
