restecp: Currently have a note20 and note20 ultra (SIM in the ultra 5G)

Compared to my S20 ultra:

1. Camera is way better. Faster focus and just generally more pleased with the images.
2. Wireless DeX is dope!
3. Feels way better in hand than my S20 Ultra ever did.
4. Battery life is similar on this compared to the S20 ultra.
5. So happy to be back with the S-Pen.

I truthfully think what matters is how the device performs for everyday use. I'm a huge fan of this device and definitely think once people get it in hand its a no brainier.

The S20 ultra was nice but there is always something magical about a Note

How is the regular Note 20 compared to the Ultra? Ultra is nice but a bit expensive for me.

Honestly.... I rekon its a killer size. The fact its running at 1080p to me is fine.

Battery life is actually not bad at all! TBF I only had my SIM with 5G enabled in it for 1 full day.
I'm definitely a big fan of the higher refresh rate so for me that is a killer reason to prefer the ultra.

Generally I think it's a really nice device for someone that won't see the value in the higher refresh rate and who considers a 6.7" phone small haha.
I'm a note fanboy so for me it misses the mark but that's because of where my expectations are. For 95% of the people out there it will be an amazing phone.

Everyone that I have shown it to has loved the size and not commented on the plastic back at all. I don't think they would have noticed unless I said anything.

One reviewer said it was the first note he thought it was essential to have a case for, given the protruding camera is significant. It's also a beastly heavy thing. I am seriously considering skipping it. Pity Auckland is in lockdown, physically handling it may make some difference.

Absolutely you should have a case. TBH spending that volume of money on a phone and not putting on a case is stupid anyway.

It's not heavy at all really.
Heavier than note10+ (196g), but lighter than S20 Ultra (222g) or the 11 Pro Max (226g)

I've never had a case on a phone in my life. I've never had a cracked screen. I do put a screen protector on them now, which I hate with a passion that burns like 1000 fiery suns.

I'd rather have a flat back and less capable camera personally.

And one reviewer said the opposite because of the matt back not being a fingerprint magnet and the new gorilla glass being quite a step up from previous generations for minor scratch resistance.  For every reviewer saying something good you'll find one saying the opposite, and vice versa.  Not that there's many reviews up yet, they're mostly unboxings and "first impressions" which are useless.

Considering getting a parallel imported version so I can get my mitts on a Snapdragon version. Does anyone have any indicative info on availability? Is the delay usually a few weeks after local launch?

So looking at Pricespy from what I see, the Note 10 Plus 256GB had a $300 price drop after about a month, and then it was another couple of months before the next one.

What's a 256GB Note 10+ worth second hand these days with a Whitestone dome on it  do you think?

it should be between 1000 to $1100 if you look at it realistically.

I will answer my own question. Online chatted with Parallel Imported. They can get this in now too. The product will be listed by next Tuesday on their website.

Price? Wait for it...

$2689, ouch, for the 256GB version with Snapdragon. I personally wouldn't pay close to a $400 premium just to have Snapdragon.

Might just have to wait a little longer for the price to drop.

Update: The price reflects the Note 20 Ultra.

Update 2: Price is confirmed.
