Is anyone experiencing either:

  1. Display scaling inconsistencies between inner and outer screen means I can only get the inner screen looking how I want it, but then the outer screen is too small for my eyes and fingers - but the can't be scaled independently.  Anyone know of a workaround?  Currently I have the fonts sized higher than I'd like, which makes some menus on the outer screen run out of space.
  2. Wallpaper changes back to the Samsung ootb default at random times.  Doesn't seem to be tied to anything in Modes and Routines etc.  I can't find where it's being told to do it, or why, or how to get the change to be sticky once I change it back.  On my S24U I would change the wallpaper to black when enabling Sleep mode, which has a routine to turn off lights and other settings.  That worked fine on the S24 and would change back to the correct wallpaper each morning.  That's not enabled on the Fold7 so I don't think it's that.

Thanks

Point 1. Thought I was going insane. Yes having the same issue.

Think they got the cover screen size pretty well bang on. Comfortable to use but big enough to be useful.

Tell you what though, phone gets HOT while gaming for 5 minutes.

The physical size is fine, especally coming from the earlier generations, but I'm referring to the software scaling and the fact the front can't be customised as the inner takes precedence. Therefore the front looks like a PC does at native 4K without any Window scaling

Yes. That post wasn't in response to your issue. Just an observation. I am finding the same scaling issues.

Plenty on Aliexpress.  PB Tech has the Samsung range, though not all are available to buy yet.  Dbrand just announced a few of their shells and skins for the Fold7, also preorders and not available yet.

I can't speak to pbtech's state, but most other vendors appear to have the samsung cases in stock.

Personally I bought the carbon one (which is super slim) from JB hifi.

It doesn't really offer drop protection and I'm not sure it will help if your issue is difficulty unfolding it.  Will potentially stop scratches on the anodised back which is all I was looking for.

I tend to go for a skin for back cover protection.  On previous Fold generations I found the front bumper cases would make edge shortcuts much harder to use.  But I don't like having a case on only one half of the chassis, so I'll probably stick with a skin this time too.

Wallpapers changed again today.  This time I had already completely deleted any modes and routines, and any other alarms or scheduled happenings like Eye Comfort Shield.  It's counfounding me!

On my Oppo via the YouTube app I could save shorts to playlists. But on this device, no option for it. Why is that?

The app needs to be updated. Unless you're missing the button, developers still need to update their apps to make use of different hardware form factors and operating systems like OneUI.  Version 8 is very new so it will take time for apps to be updated to make use of it.

I cannot get the battery to be anything other than terrible. Lost 30% from just driving listening to music for 45 minutes.
