I would also like to add how impressed I have been with my Note. I have had for amost a month now and I love the large screen and battery life. It still fits easily in my pockets despite the size and I even managed to take a call with one hand while I was walking with a coffee in the other -not easily but was doable.

Is very nice for ebook reading too.

Best part is the looks on peoples faces when I pull it out :D

I'm not sure if this is allowed in this thread, but is anyone after a Galaxy Note case?

I ordered a Zenus case from Korea. Took the case out of the package and used it for 5 minutes. Not really my thing, going back to the rubber textured cases.

I took a look at this phone and had a good play around with it while getting my next phone instead (HTC Desire, just viewing it as temporary thing for now...).

WHOA! It is quite big to be using with just one hand. Even with my hands (I'm a fair bit taller than average).

Wonder if there is a keyboard in the market for the keyboard to only be in the bottom right hand quadrant (or the right side if you're left handed instead)? As kinda tricky to reach the "q" on the keyboard otherwise! Hopefully soon an entire custom ROM for just one handed operation across the phone.

Anyway, if there isn't already I'm sure it will be soon and I'm going to wait a quarter or two anyway for the price of the Galaxy Note to come down significantly before I'd consider buying it (also, the Hauwei P1 S is another hot favourite for me which isn't quite yet out...).

On the latest firmwares the Samsung keyboard has one-handed options (for left and right handed people), it also carries over to the dialler. With ADW Launchers 'swipe down anywhere on the homescreen to pull down the notification shade' feature one-handed use is a lot more manageable than some might think.

Yes there are images on the web that look great, particularly adding a number row of keys, wished they'd add navigation keys also, anyway are you running it yet, and if so, what did you do to entice it onto your phone?

It is quite a big handset, bigger than any other phone out there and this alone will deter some people. However for those who want more of a small tablet than a phone (like me who rarely makes calls) it is fantastic for content viewing.

I'm enjoying my GNote immensely.

So used to the size now that I didn't recognize an iPhone the other day, I thought it was too small to be one.

I never realised how tiny the iPhones really are

Also sounds like we'll have ICS soon too (end of March) ....

Yes I cannot get over how tiny my iphone looks now when i pick it up. I read dozens of ebooks on that small screen. Much much easier on the eyes with the note

I thought this might be interesting. The Galaxy Note is being released in the US now and when I was at CES Samsung had a major push with the unit. I personally remain unconvinced about the device (mainly of course due to its size).

But as I was walking home from CES one night I captured this large ad for the Note on one of the moving billboards they have all around the place in Vegas.

It is certainly quite a compelling (and probably expensive) ad to place. This was for AT&T

NZTechfreak's review on the Note is excellent and I'm sure changed many buyer's perception of this phone.

Hi,

Galaxy Note is an amazing handset. My wife owns a white Galaxy Note which I bought her almost 3 month ago.

A couple of note from me.

Although S-pen (stylus) is a great tool, writing on Galaxy note is quite challenging (quite slippery). You are basically writing on glass using a hard plastic tip. I have ordered a digitizer pen compatible to Galaxy Note on EBay. Several tips with different feel are included in that buy. I hope it would work ok.

I am not sure if the screen is Gorila glass, it may not. Our Galaxy Note has a couple of tiny scratches, like 2mm of baby hair. It obviously need a screen protector. We tried Xtremguard screen protector, but it leaves marks on screen if you use Spen. Some anti glare screen protectors (matte) seems to reduce view quality a lot. I currently ordered cheap screen protectors from EBay.

No other issues. It is just beautiful and best of all my wife still thanks me for the Note. Definitely best buy in 2011.
