Hey guys, try out Boat Browser. As of yesterday, it's replaced Dolphin as my main browser. Fast, slick and easier to navigate around.

I'm trying to use the HTC Transfer tool.. question though, does it transfer using a wi-fi hotspot? Something about that comes up but I want to be sure I'm not somehow going through my data..

Also yes first world problems.. 30 mins with the phone and I'm already finding the power button an absolute pain in the ass!

It works with a direct wifi connection between two phones. Start the app on one phone, start the app on the other, pick which things to transfer over, and it's all automatic. Made short work of transferring everything over from my One X. Couldn't have been easier.

My favourite small thing about the phone is the Quick Menu in the browser. Just swipe in a bit from either side and you get a neat navigation bar. To turn it on, go Settings > Labs in the browser.

I ordered my HTC ONE  XT on March 21 online with Noel Leeming. Paid $1005.  After emails in last couple of weeks they rang me today.  They cant supply it yet and dont know when they can.  So my options they gave
1 - still just wait until it can be supplied
2- Refund in full which will take 5 days
3- refund the purchase cost then recharge at $1100 and send me Vodafone version.

They refused to give discount and send a vodafone version out.

They will contact me again next week or later when they know the date they can supply the Telecom version.  They would not move on pricing.

So I will wait for the Telecom version but will be the last time I order through Noel Leemings.  I had same problem with a delay with Windows 8 tablet but then they did at least contact me on the date it was supposed to be delivered to say there was a delay.

Having a problem charging my phone. Been on charge since one this morning and only got to 73%, since using it to catch up on this thread and post this reply, while still plugged in, it's gone down to 72%. Surely this shouldn't be happening? I am using the stock cable but it is plugged in to an apple charger, shouldn't be a problem though right?

The power option in settings confirms that it has been charging the whole time.

Use the stock charger, and don't worry it takes a few days for the battery to calibrate and settle in.

As mentioned, the stock charger will output sufficient power for the phone to charge and be used at the same time. It's likely this is the reason, but testing the standard charger will verify this for you.

i have just written a very angry email to noel leeming asking them to let me know if i can come down to any noel leeming store and pick up the htc one when it arrives.

getting very tired and impatient with their charades. has anyone received word about their telecom htc one? i asked them if they would just give me the vodafone one instead of a telecom one since they have been mucking me around so much.

if they say i can cancel my order, i might just take them up on that offer - with clear indication that they shall not be having my business (or any of my friends/relatives/those who ask me for advice on tech) in the future.

DSE in Albany were willing to match NL's student discount, but the unit I opened had the gap issue. They had no more stock so the waiting game continues :(

Negative :/ only reason I've waited this long is because of the good deal I got.. And (I'm guessing) it would be silly to back out now as they can't be far away.. (lol)

This gap issue must be surely costing HTC quite a few million dollars alone?

From what I've read, many people have returned their devices, only to repeat this time and time again.

I am hoping I am going to be lucky with mine next week.
