I've turned Volte off...

I also lost call waiting service so people ring and it will go to VM if I am on another call.

freitasm:

I have received a reply from Samsung:

"[This] was identified as issue with Spark. The fix was to turn off VoLTE from their network settings and that should resolve. They have confirmed that this is not a device fault."

In other words, seems to be a network configuration - @andyb could check perhaps?

Ahh Nope. I started this thread about a year or so ago and I was on Vodafone. Had a second SIM on 2 degrees so definitely not a Spark issue. Yes sims were replaced. No help. I did try a spark sim but had exactly the same problem.

I ended up sending back my handset to Sammy NZ for a full refund.

As a result Samsung have lost our business not because of the fault itself but because of the dismissive and unhelpful experience trying to get it rectified .

I understand faults occur but this one is clearly a fault with the handset. It's really disappointing to hear that people are still having this issue a year on and still being fobbed off by Samsung.

Hi guys, I don't want to alarm or cause panic but my new Galaxy S21 last week had the same issue, the dreaded "Not registered on network" message came up and I had to turn on flight mode and then disable flight mode to reconnect.  So this same issue is potentially happening on the new model too.

As mentioned feel free to DM me details, and we’ll take a look at it (1 person kindly has). There are a variety of issues in this thread, seems quite old, and lots of confusing comments, so not really sure what we’re dealing with here.

My comments and remarks are not necessarily of my employer.

Re VoLTE specific issue, is there likely to be a fix on existing Samsung phones?

I don't think this is a Samsung issue but network side CSFB
