Do you happen to have their physical address or PO Box details? I have disputed the transaction with Paypal since it's within the 120 day period.

No, info seems to be hard to find and there is no current NZ company named Supero, although these lookups might be interesting (and also might be dead ends I guess):

There's talks about those who stuck with Samsung after the Note 7 by getting S7/Edge would be getting the next flagship at half price

Lets hope this scheme is made available worldwide. Currently it seems like its only for the home country (South Korea)

Some time ago Samsung announced that they would give all former Note 7 owners a one-off credit of $100 as a consolation for the hassle and aggravation that the Note 7 debacle caused.

I'm keen to know whether anyone has actually received this payment/credit - and how, when etc.

I took a credit because I didn't want a screen size downgrade, be a shame if I missed out, as I have owned every Samsung Flagship since the Pixon :)

Not so far. Mine was through Spark and I understood they were mailing it out as a gift card to people who'd already returned the Note.

Every morning, including today, I walk past a massive Samsung advertisement which covers several floors of the outside wall of a building in Manners Street, Wellington. It's for a new waterproof phone called a Note 7.

Maybe they are referring to the note 8.

If they were smart they'd quickly release the 8 that is fire resistant.

There will be no 8 anything until they determine the cause of the problems with the Note 7.

I asked Spark and they said they have a team sending them out right now and they should arrive in the next 3-5 working days.

Mmm ... a smell many jobs for pyromaniacs to try to get the 7 to catch fire ... burn baby burn!

Yes but Vodafone are being their usual hopeless selves and, although they put out a warm fuzzy announcement on 13 Oct, getting the actual credit from them (or even any further info from them in it) is impossible.

You can tell I'm not an electrical engineer ... how else to determine the cause?

Subject: Important Changes to Courier Post Note7 Returns

Dear Jeremy,

Due to changes in Courier Post operations, you will be unable to drop your Note7 into a Courier Post depot or NZ Post drop point (store or mail box) for collection from today, 26th October.

If you have already returned your device via Courier Post, you do not need to take any further action.

If you have yet to return your device to Samsung, please await new instructions.

Returning your device

We will shortly be providing you with instructions of where you will need to take your Note7 device and the pre-labelled courier post bag.

We apologise for this change of process, and thank you for your patience.

Kind Regards,

The team at Samsung

Hello

Just wanted to give Vodafone Note7 owners a heads up about an important announcement if you still have and are using your Note7.

Basically, on 18th November, your device will no longer be able to connect to the Vodafone network.

More details on the Vodafone Community.
