toncijak: who has actually ordered a Nexus 7?
what was your final cost in NZ$ and the methods you went by?
twobikes: Cost of $199USD landed in NZ via Shipito would be $370-380, and $249USD would be about $410-420, depending on exchange rates at time of shipping and estimated shipping US-NZ at $50 US and firm google for US shipping of $14US.
Elpie: When you order for the first time, Clove do a security check. It's pretty painless & details are here:http://www.clove.co.uk/international-customers. I only mention this so you are aware. Occasionally, someone has a tantrum because they weren't expecting an online-only store to want some protection against fraud.

This "fragmentation" meme is out of control.
The 59% of market that Android had in recent quarters says phone buyers - mainly - don't see "fragmentation"......they see choices. Lots of choices.
They buy the one that suits.
I disagree. I've used many different linux distros over the last ten years, and updating them was always trivially easy. The same is not true of Android, sadly. To jump from Gingerbread to ICS, or now from ICS to JB, should be a matter of user choice, and the user should not be forced to root their phone if they want to do something as basic as update their OS. The variety of UIs overlaid onto the stock Android OS are not the issue, the reluctance and sluggishness of the vendors to update them is.
As a result, users may not "buy the one that suits", they may buy a less-favoured device simply because it has a later OS. That's a restriction of choice, not an expansion of it.

I've been on Geekzone over 16 years..... Time flies....
Linuxluver:
People who inhabit Geekzone will usually disagree. I'd love an ICS upgrade on any of the 4 phones I currently have (It's promised on three of them). But if it really was a problem for the wider market, Android wouldn't have 59% market share among smartphone.

How do Clove handle this check? Do they charge your card before they do the test or after? (I don't like companies that charge before the test)
A) If we are delivering to the registered card holder address you can email or fax a copy (photo, scan or pdf) of your passport or driving license or bank statement. We can accept documents in any language.
OR
B) You can contact your card issuer for the Authorisation Code relating to your transaction with Clove. There is a unique code for every card transaction and your card issuer will only give this information to the card holder. We can see this code on your transaction and when you confirm it to us via email, phone or fax your order will be security cleared. Please note that if we are NOT delivering to the registered card holder address you will need to complete this procedure, as option A will be insufficient.

There is a mistake in your Australian family purchase lines in that you have not added in the AU-NZ mail cost to the total (probably because you have put words in the field as well). Also a line showing the exchange rates you have used would be useful as well. Love your work in putting this together though.
I was looking to get my sister who lives in Australia and who is coming home for a visit at the end of July, beginning of August to buy it and bring it with her. However that Clove option (assuming the prices pan out) is very attractive.
