Have also pre ordered with 2 degrees and secured the 256 gig card and wireless charger bundle.
Called into a store earlier today for a first look at the 8 in the flesh , look and feel even with security attached to the back was top notch.
To me it has a somewhat nicer feel in the hand than the n5.
Mint condition n5 for sale shortly after the 22nd :)

less than 2 weeks to go now!

Ive ordered 2 Spigen cases for the NOTE 8.

both have clear bases to still show the phone colour & match the orchid grey :)

Very keen to know if anyone can recommend a Tempered Glass screen protector - one that is case friendly but also actually SEALS to the phone glass, not just seals the outer edge.

I got a cheap one yesterday for my S7 Edge, Just put it on. its ok but can slightly sense that air gap between the screen & protector as it just seals on the outer edge.

I miss the full contact good quality temperered glass protectors I had when I had my Note4! but that was flat so hey.

Yea im going to get the spigen rugged armor. I had it with the note 7 and the narrow bezels allowed for a comfortable case. Was the first time i considered a case cause it was small enough to be less protrusive.

I have ordered this (the colour in the picture).

https://www.gizbot.com/accessories/news/samsung-alcantara-case-revealed-alongside-galaxy-note-8-043620.html

should make it stand out from others as the colour does not look like it will be released in NZ

Oh wow, where did you go to purchase your Spigen cases?

Amazon doesn't ship them to NZ anymore and it says all out of stock from MobileFun,

I'm also hoping that the Note 8 has official screen protectors from Samsung which i used last year for the Note 7 as well.

Been using glass on my note 3 but i find that it loses sensitivity compared to the thin film protectors and found the gel one pretty good when I had the Note 7 last year.

hi all

pb tech usually sells all spigen cases and when sales come round can usually get cheaper.

When i had galaxy note 7 (i had 3 times with burning battery and fault) and they had screen protectors preapplied on each so presume note 8 possibly the same.

For S7 edge screen protector i have this (not the full body protector)

https://www.bodyguardz.com/samsung/screenguardz-ultratough-screen-protector-for-samsung-galaxy-s7-edge.html

which  i got on ebay through singapore store $15 nz free postage and recieved i week after ordering. With this protector i can change cases easily and no peeling.Samsung brand  2 screen protectors always peeled on the edge and bought $20 glass screen protector and first time put case on glass just cracked absolutely useless.

I got  them direct from Spigen USA. Shipping for 2 cases was $13.25us.

https://www.spigen.com/

I tried to the find these 2 particular crystal cases on amazon or in nz but couldnt. So opted to get them from spigen direct.

Ive never paid so much for cases before, but this phone is worth the investment!

I am seriously considering Note 8 after the Apple announcement today. It's just too expensive with iPhone X 256GB. Only thing is that all our products at home is Apple including Apple Watch so I need a new watch as well (when is Gear S4 coming out?)

Only thing I am concerned is that I use Apple Music family subscription and wondered how it would perform on Note 8 especially with car Bluetooth streaming. Other things I will miss include; find my friend and Apple Map 3D render.

I ordered my rugged case today. Just have to wait a little while to see what screen protector is best.
I have surfed throughout the internet looking at all aspects and what i originally was skeptical on, has now faded. The battery is actually better than anticipated, with a minimum of 5hrs screen on time. Better than any previous generation from samsung. Not only that, but samsung have, since their s8 line, improved the overall longevity of battery health over time. Traditionally batteries loose about 20% capacity over a couple of years, but samsung claim they have improved that to 95%. This is quite good considering the always daunting aspect of a perminently closed devices.
The only things that i see as a downside are the fingerprint scanner and price. Other than that, it seems to be solid.

Yea i was not blown away by the iphone reveal, heard a few comment on the near bezeless design, but to me those bezels are no where near gone. They are still quite distinctive. I think its just the uniformity of the bezel around the entire device that they are commenting on, however its still not as good as samsungs approach.

Well as it's android you could just get a cheap android wear watch or even the gear fit 2/2 pro and wait for the gear s4.

I thought the gear s4 was going to revealed last week of August but nothing has been said about it so who knows. I just bought the gear s3 and Im very happy with it. Would've preferred the s4 but meh
