Abusername:On my old 6 and (now) 7 pro all I had to do was to plug in my Spark SIM and that's it - the setting shows up with no extra configs.
Just to confirm. You have volte working with pixel 7pro on spark???? Ifve read other posts where users are saying it doesn't work for Them
I'm on a Nokia 7.2 which is not officially provisioned by spark but After the update to android 11 which it only got about 6 months ago, volte started working.
I need volte as I'm rural.
If a pixel 7 is a risk???? Anyone know a good alternative that's supported....I'd never buy a Nokia again but do like googles clean android os
I would still suggest to go with a Nokia as an alternative for a Pixel. When it comes to camera capabilities Pixel wins ofcourse. If you want VoLTE, VoWifi and 5G working out of the box with a clean android, go for a Nokia.
Nokia has enabled VoLTE and Vowifi settings of all three major carriers and MVNO's on all their phones released after Nokia 3.4. I owned a Nokia 8.1 (imported from HK) and Nokia 9 PV (NZ model), never had VoLTE or Vowifi inspite of software updates. When these phones were released, VoLTE and Vowifi were still in testing stage with Nokia.
Last month I imported Nokia X10 from UK. VoLTE and Vowifi worked out of the box. I am with Skinny. Unfortunately due to my clumsy hands, dropped the phone and had a cracked screen. Imported another phone, Nokia XR20 from Australia - VoLTE and Vowifi worked out of the box. I have 5G working on both phones even though both were not officially released in NZ.
You may want to try a little trick to get 5G working on phones which are not in Spark/Skinny's range. The SIM gets automatically provisioned for 5G when its inserted in a 5G phone ranged by Spark/Skinny. Once you have 5G working, you will have it working on other 5G phones not ranged by Spark/Skinny. If this doesn't work, you will need to get customer care to manually provision it for you. Vodafone automatically provisions it, even though the handset is not ranged by them.

I bought my Nokia 7.2 from spark and they promised it worked with their volte. It did not. They said just wait a few weeks well provision it for you. They did not. They said maybe a few months. They did not. Like you I'd scratched the screen by that point so couldn't return it. And Nokia have such slow os updates. The camera is absolute shit also. My previous cheap ass Xiaomi was better. I'm not sure I could trust Nokia again. I'd rather attempts a pixel
Anyone have volte working with spark on pixel 7 not pro?
VoLTE (Spark & Skinny) should work on your 7.2 if you are running android 11 (or higher).
Pixel 6 and up running android 13 includes Spark carrier info so VoLTE should work if provisioned on your profile (Spark & Skinny)
I have a new Pixel 7 Pro and am now trialing a Spark SIM -- I had horrible reception at home on my Pixel 3 with 2Degrees.
I see the 4G Calling setting available, so it appears VoLTE is provisioned for my Spark SIM -- I think?
Is there any other visible indicator I should see? During a call, I don't see any special icon, just the usual phone icon.
Nice, will try on my Pixel 6 now. Looking for something to get through the afternoon.
zmikep: Working on Pixel 6 with Vodafone. LTE stays when on a call now.
Does anyone know if the Pixel 7 from Australia will work with Volte and 4G here in NZ?
Any news on whether 5G support will come? I care a lot less about 5G at least...
